Did you watch super volcanoes movie on TV1 tonight?

I love these movies that are so real and make you think twice about where one should live!!!I am heading down stairs to dig out a shelter and fill it with supplies..!! Any Geologists amoungst you lot? When have they predicted the 30 or so volcanoes that Aucklands sitting on to blow!!?? Sorry such a random thread.

HA yeah right. Actually looking at the construction of our house and surrounding ones, it wouldn't stand a shit show. Even if a few cm of ash landed on it, would probably cave in!! But never say never. Actually Graham you would have to be close on the north shore facing that Rangitoto if it went up again..?

Far out is it true that the chinese also recorded the last time this super volcano exploded where the effects where felt in the north. They claim that they were in darkness for quite some time. And and a polar freeze winter. I mean was this related to our event?
