Dartford toll free-flow system...(and increased payments)
Discussion
I used the crossing both ways today in my car and it's already debited my account and showing the times I used it.
I'm just wondering how long it takes for the fines to get sent out as I've used it twice in my truck in the past three weeks and I'm pretty sure my company has done nothing to register or pay for the crossings despite me telling them on more than one occasion.

What a fiasco to pay if you don't have/want an account....... only visited parents over xmas period, sister paid for going on her account but I didn't know when I was going back I said I would sort it.
This in my opinion needs a re-think...... why can't think link it in with ring-go or something

My auto-top up is working as designed. Its a much better system, I can already see the benefits to the traffic flow on the times that I run the gauntlet.
Looking forward to seeing the works completed.
This, worked very well Boxing day & yesterday, auto deduction worked & the queues both way were minimal. Much better than the previous shambles.Looking forward to seeing the works completed.
I had reason to go through the tunnel at around one thirty on two consecutive nights the week before Christmas.
All I can is what a nightmare! it took over a hour and a half to travel the last mile to the booth, all lanes down to one, fighting to get over, with the foreign lorry drivers not letting anyone in.
I say booth, because that's what it was, a single lane. We had to cross the carriageway to "the booth" and wait for the barrier to go up! Why couldn't they leave it up? (don't forget it's free that time of the morning.) Not only that, on the other side of the barrier there were two lanes open!!
I understand that these works need to take place, but I'm sure things could have been far better organised than that. Not only that, I never saw a single worker, let alone one of them actually doing something

We need to go from Tonbridge to the M1 this afternoon. When we came south there was about 3 miles of stationary traffic waiting for the tunnel, this was Sunday. Anyone know id things have improved or are we as well going clockwise today?
Update: We chanced the tunnel and there was no queue whatsoever. I assume that the logjam on Sunday was shopping traffic.

Still not recognising my car, had 3 trips over during the charge times in 2 days. FFS.
Starting to explain why they want us previous Dart Tag users to retain the tags on our screens still. If there is a problem with the new system, they can revert back and plunder our old accounts
