No it was red I think.

Saw a bright yellow Esprit on the A12 near the M25 yesterday afternoon, which was my highlight for the day (and the car lives in Danbury I think). Then a 599 heading down the A12 near Ingatestone. Saw an R129 Mercedes on Mersea Island who waved, and a TVR who also waved.

Gold Leaf colours Elan Sprint, 2x Caterham's, yellow two door MkIII Cortina GT & another Lambo Huracan Spyder (black) - all on Broomfield Rd, Chelmsford mid-pm.

Edited to add: also saw a red Saab 900 Turbo (I think) in Writtle - very cool.

Black Ultima (?) heading towards Stock A12 this evening

Not me earlier... too busy playing golf and fishing but I have vowed to put some miles on it over the next few weeks.
On my travels today I did see the following...

1. A12 around midday, heading from Chelmsford towards Billericay. A large dark brown American Pick Up with huge horns from a steer attached to the cab.To top off the look it was towing a small cream & pale blue caravan

2. Red Ferrari 360, Regiment Way, heading towards Chelmsford. Sounded great pulling away from the Channels roundabout.

2. Turquoise TVR, heading from Stock to Billericay around 4pm

3. Escort Mexico/Rally Car, White with Blue stripes. Ramsden Heath area about 4.15pm. I think this is a well known, frequently driven car as I've certainly seen it before.

So many cars that I've forgotten. An S1 Elise and a red VX220 (with bike on it), on the A12 on Friday in the rain. A TVR Tamora yesterday near North Fambridge, and an R129 not too far away.

Also spotted this in Steeple, and the lurid Volvo in SWF.

The highlight this morning was a freshly painted or restored AM V8 near SWF, which was taped up to protect it and looked fantastic.

Red Alfa Spider passing Colchester on the A12 this morning - looked tiny in traffic, black Ferrari 488 oppo carriageway shortly afterwards & then a Datsun 240Z on a low loader on the A120 from Clacton direction.

Think I glimpsed an orangey Mk2 Granada in billericay high street at lunchtime

Spotted a Saab 900 Turbo today, which followed me from Sidcup area to Chislehurst. Rare sight on the roads these day - I think they're looking better with age!

Also saw a red XK 140 or 150 yesterday and a brg similar car Friday or Saturday at the same cross roads

Yesterday around Chelmsford there were lots of modded new Fiat 500s
