So, this is why we have test drives - to find out that the car is "poorly".
It wasn't pulling as well as i thought it should, then it started stuttering and missing.
Poor sales guy. I can't beleive he would have taken me out if he had known. He reckoned it might be the air flow meter - but better now than after i had bought it. So, that one is a

I'm really busy workwise, so i'll give it a week or so and see what crops up.

I have heard that they are a bit underpowerd Rob, although i admit i haven't driven one.(and the man who knows these things tells me it is the car to have ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
I did have a 528 for a few years a while back, and that was a nice car.
Why do you ask Rob?
Well my dad may be getting rid of his at some point. I think it's sitting on about 53k, 98 R reg and very well maintained!
If it's not your cup of tea it's no big deal.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
The reason he bought it was because it was a good compromise of speed, motorway cruising and economy but I do know what you mean about its turn of speed afterall it's not rapid!![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)

I had a quick look at it as i left the dealer this morning, and mentioned it was "expensive" compared to the silver one, and didn't have some of the toys, waiting for him to bite with a "discount offer" - but he didn't.
I'm not suprised you are confused, i am!

I have to agree with you there TC, that is a very pretty car, and with 6.3 seconds for the 0-62 dash she is no slouch.
BUT front wheel drive? and despite what you say, it does exceed the budget by a couple of grand, and i have a healthy bill heading my way for the Chim shortly

BMW 750i V12. Already proved it's self to be a "most amusing" car.
Deceptively fast, lovely mover, very comfortable. I can light up the rears with little effort
![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)
It is 1997 R plate, with 73k miles on the clock, and full BMW service history. It looks and feels like a 2 year old car. It has every conceivable extra, plus a couple i hadn't thought of.
In summary, I'm "reasonably pleased" with the purchase - a brilliant replacement for the Rangie (although i don't intend to take it off road).
Long live the barge
