Many thanks to all who have contributed towards my replacemnt car selection, to Nigel for fielding my host of stupid questions, and to Ben and Nathan for taking me to collect the new beast.

Here are a few hastily taken photos.

It amazes me the amount of car that's out there in this market these days.

Great looking motor David and with the full history and all tick boxes checked on the options list, it looks like a great buy.

I notice the Wall Street-esque mobile phone in the armrest as well. Top car.

So, correct me if i'm wrong, but I make it 28 cylinders currently in the household? With 3 cars, that's got to be a record (and a reason for some shares in BP....)

Ah, but for the sake of argument, I think David should find an 8 cylinder donor for the Corsa as well. In for a penny and all that..... smile

Thanks for all the comments guys, most amusing and much appreciated.

I have today discovered the "executive" radio on/off switch - you have to remove a fuse in the boot, wait 15 seconds, and then replace it laugh I'm not too sure how often this is required, but apparently it is the "official" BMW remedy.

The car is now almost ready for its first PH outing - i have transferred the registration number today, and she is now formally known as E2 DJH. woohoo

If all goes well on Thursday afternoon, i'll bring her along to the Ice Karting.
