soapbox

I will have a look when I am off next, will probably be at the tail end of February. I will keep you all posted as to the details, me thinks this time I'll try and sort out a route map and if there is going to be a few more of us we might like to split into two groups to make it abit easier to keep together to save losing people along the way!

Was really pleased that no idiots turned up and were all 'progressive but sensible drivers' thumbup

Cheers Guys

Hey guys, first post on the Thames forum.
I was just wondering whereabouts you guys go for 'hoons' as i've only just got into going to meetings. The only one i've been to is with the guys from the south west forum and while I enjoyed it, I had to travel two hours to get there.
The problem is i'm near the Swindon area and those guys are always around the Taunton area. So it's a bit of a trek to go there often, and yet you guys (I think) are more Reading way?
So was wondering if you ever venture around these parts and if so, can i join in!!

R300 - Peperami and I can't do Feb 25th so that days out, as you ain't going without us! nono

Redbaron - We all met in Fleet, Hampshire. It was the first PH meet for most of us I believe. A venture into Wales is on the cards too cool

Amazing how one day out has grown to this already. The Alfa is having the steering rack looked at tomorrow. If it isn't to shot then will get it sorted ready for a Febuary hoon. If too expensive will write the car off and rapidly be on the lookout for a replacement...

Amazing the power of this internet thing!

Here, check this out..

I was reading something the other day about coppers pulling in speeders (Thats SPEEDERS not SPEEDO's.. just to clear that up) and this one copper was saying how he'd been patrolling this one section of road for a fair bit of time when a young lad went racing past him... Obviously the copper went off in 'Hot pursuit' and eventually pulled the lad over, the copper went upto the window as the lad wound it down and the copper said "I've been waiting all day for you to come along!" to which the young lad replied "Well, I got here as fast as I could!!".. The Copper eventually stopped laughing/crying then let the lad off with a slap on the wrist! Fantastic! (True or not its still worth a mention!) thumbup

Why can't all coppers be like that!

Red Barron - Your more than welcome, keep an eye on here and I will eventually put up an update on the next run. And I do have a few ideas up my sleeve for 'bigger things' which are coming up this year!

Anyways, must be off - speak soon guys!

Hi Guys,

For those of you that came on the last sunday blat, I'm trying to sort out a date for the next one! Works getting busier so time to play is short!!

One question - Does any one know who the chap in the Red VX220 Turbo was that peeled off just after coming of the hogs back towards Puttenham!?!

Anyways, for those who made an appearance on the trip to Brighton, I look forward to driving with you again... soon!

Regards

Cool. Let me know what dates you have in mind (I'm busy next three Sundays )

Don't know who the Red VX220 guy was. Think he said he came along after spotting your thread on Blatchat though.
