Well if you're going to be like that, you might need to be taken off the list too!

I'm sure he will be along in no time to put his name down, in the meantime I can get in contact with sandown to check out the date and make sure its available.

Although this time I would like to actually do the reverse grid on the second race that we were suppose to do!

Have you hosted the video? If so pop the URL on here so I can view it!

I *should* be a little better in the dry at karting as I wont be attempted to see how sideways I could get the kart around corners, however I did have immense fun which is what its all about.

Car straight out of the box, 100kg heavier and still down on power (not right chokes in it yet – sorting before next race – they had to order them), and a longer final drive than the other Fully modded 6’s. Started at the back as not sure of the brakes – problems in practice setting the bias (as no time to Test). (Gridded 4th).

Over took all up to Chap in 3rd in 12 laps – race was shortened by 3 - 4 laps – so I think I would have had the Griff too (150 – 200 bhp more!).

The 2 in front were to far ahead (spreads out so much in that time if coming through from so far back).

Got fastest lap of the race though

Jon, remind me next time you're racing I'll come along and try and take some pics, that looks like a hell of a lot of fun!

Will have to see if that works with the tunnel run and goodwood breakfast, I'm pretty sure it does nuts

I havent got sound here, but that made very good watching!

One question though, was your clutch slipping by any chance? I could see your tachometer going all over the place at times. (Remember, I cant hear it!)

Ok in other news I got ahold of sandown for the karting event.

Ok now I have everybodies attention (hehe), I emailed sandown and they told me that the 30th of June is infact available so we are welcome to hold our event, however, the price is higher this time because its a weekend.

As most of you will remember, the price last time was £52.50, however this time its £62.50. I have told them that I'm not happy with the higher price and asked them if they could do anything about the price considering we will probbaly be using every kart they have (again) which means they will be getting alot of money, and the fact that this is repeat business and they are likely to get more off of us if the price is right.

They have got back to me with a price of £60 per head which I think is still too high. So based on what people say I can either do the following:

i)Tell them to stuff it
ii) Tell them to drop the price even more or they can stuff it
iii) Go ahead and do it regardless of the price increase

Personally I would rather not pay £60 out of principle. I understand its only a £7.50 increase, but I cant justify paying more money because its a weekend!

rev counter is moving VER Y fast out of the hair pin as in 1stand giving it 7+k revs.

round Gerards the back is constantly loosing grip as you rty to get as much pwer down as posible.

No the issue is we have an AP twin plate with sintered pads - knife like bite point and a longish final drive - going to take some practice and I expect to loose some places of the start with it (shorter final drive will help a bit - and give even better acceleration).

Roll on Brands.

I'd prefer Sandown or Thruxton, rather than Buckmore park as its a bit of a trek from here. £60 doesn't sound too bad, but I'm not sure of their excuse that its a weekend as our last event was on a Saturday!

I'm not fussed but I'm guessing we'll get more people coming if it's not Miles away!

Thats a very good point!

I guess there arguement would be that it was during the christmas holidays, what with being december 30th and all. I shall drop them another email...

Pete, we should bare those other tracks in mind just incase. Ultimately I dont want to have to decide for everyone, it would be nice if everyone could give some input as to what they think / where they want to go. You know I have only ever been to one indoor karting event and that was at earls court!

You could give Daytona in Milton Keynes a call to see what price it is there. It's the same track layout I think. It should give you an idea if the prices really have gone up, or if they're just trying it on.

Has to be Sanddown - we all know the track and it is a good one.

Buckmore and Thruxton are much more of a trek for alot more people.

Not really THAMES VALLEY & SURREY!
