Well for anyone that would like a chuckle... I was about to replace the ball joints (with Pete's help) and wouldn't you believe it my car decides to break in a far funnier and more imaginative way... the ing clutch pedal broke. Oh my did I laugh, sat in the office car park with a car that's about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

I have an idea. Let me know whether anyone is interested:

Seeing as I am planning on coming down on Sat for the start, I can combine it with my newly founded knowledge of how to post on Youtube.

I can wait at the roundabout as you all leave and film a noisy convoy as you all leave together, (whilst at the head of the pack - pre-planned)/ It would bea window down job, and fly by of every car leaving the Lord Derby.

If you want more: The lead car, having gone past and waiting for me to film the last car from the roundabout, can standby as I come to the front before the Mway turn off (if poss), allowing me past and I can have a second "onto the motorway" fly-by of all the cars...

What do ya think?

Any good an sneaking into a very secure office carpark with constant security and setting fire to the bloody thing? hehe

To be honest it's not that big a problem, just the timing is beyond totally shit as I have a very busy week and was hoping to get everything sorted before the weekend.

Well give me a shout mate, even if it is getting you to work, or towing the thing home, you've got my number smile

Now you really know that you should be buying something reliable with good old British build quality wink

I have a teensy-weensy sneaking suspicion that the remainder of SAS may not have consumed as much beer tonight as we did, and as such your notion may gain greater traction if you re-phrase it in the morning when sober.

OK, now i know this sounds stupid, but i am considering having a drive down to meet you all for breakfast on Sunday morning, go to the hillclimb thingy, and drive back up with you.

Has anyone got a rough idea what time you will be breakfasting and leaving the hotel?

That would be one longdrive Dave!

Oh I am nursing a headache - got back last night and consumed copious amounts of red wine.

Anyway the video thing - I might come along and get some footage of people leaving the Lord Derby... lol

Bad news my end I'm afraid, one of my best mates is getting married soon and everyone has decided to throw a surprise party this Saturday night....I begged to make it next weekend but it was 20-1 against me frown .....so have no choice but to pull out.

Turbofun - I know you have placed a deposit on a room for us, assuming you can't change this to a single on arrival please PM me your name/adddress and I will send you a cheque for whatever extra costs have been incurred for me not coming along. Let me know Monday/Tuesday.

Have a great time, look forward to the pics! smile
