For Ferg> cut and paste this mate, i had been drinking!

" GTM, "

Sorry fella!

Krissmuss,

RE: BEC meet in Bletchingley, Surrey.

1st Friday every month at The Plough, Bletchingley which is the pub with the massive car park next to the speed camera on the main road through the Village. 19.30 onwards. Officially it is a meet of the Sylva Sportscar Club, but over the years it has turned into anything can attend as lots of Sylva owners come and go but still turn up with their Ferraris, Lotus, ect. Mainly BECs nowdays, we normall have Fury's Phoenix, R1ot, MK, Tiger, Caterham, ect. with Fireblade, R1, Hayabusa, ZX9 / 10 /12 turn up. But not all Bike powered, lots of Ford and K-series too. Be nice for you to pop down, in fact anyone can come down to kick some tyres, do not need a BEC or even a kit. Anything goes nowdays, as long as they behave! Generally between October and Feb it is only the hardcore who turn up in stupid cars with no roof, but as of March we can have a nice selection if the weather is good and the nights a little lighter. drop me a mail if you are going to come down.

Had a good morning but had to leave early to warm up and grab some food (couldn't wait until the pub opened) nice little drive up with the CGT, Ultima, 360, 911, VX220 and another Cerb biggrin
I think I had the best position behind the wall of noise on the way upsmile

Was definitely one of the better organised events, and a very friendly bunch - I really should make more of an effort to clean the mud off before attending next time!

Love the Photo of My Delorean...looks good with the misty woods in the background and the wooden fence and gate....

Thanks again for making a new comer feel welcome, especially the dudes in the yellow and the grey Elise and Mazda MX5 and the the Man in Black for letting me take a nosey at the NSX and the dude with the Mosler.

its hard to pin down the favourite car of the day as they all had there own appeal but highlights I guess where the SAAB and the Mosler, the GT Carerra, DB5 and the 328. I even loved the orange Bug and the Ultimas were just Rude!.

The TVRS got me horny and so too did the little green Lotus. And of course Lees car (but I see that every day!)

I was in car heaven...looking forward to the next one

(Lee we couldn't hit 88mph up Titsey Hill as we where stuck behind a bus!)...next time!>>>>>>>

It was fantastic to see the turnout yesterday. Rather than slow down the thread by adding loads of pictures, I've put some of yesterday's event on my website:

Gutted I missed it. Got up at 5:30am and got precisely 5 miles up the road before realising that the temp gauge was disturbingly high and no heat was coming from the blowers.

Found a leaky hose join but didn't know then whether it was a cause or an effect, prefer to find out a little closer to home, so filled up the header tank at a trickle, turned around and went back to bed...

Lee,

Thanks for organising. Excellent work!

First one my Mrs has attended and she now thinks we're good people rather than internet car nerds! Shame about the pub missing an opportunity though - next time, eh!

Some great cars, the usual good bunch of people and a nice way to spend a Saturday morning - makes a change from getting up early on a Sunday!!

Hope the M5 stayed out of all the hedges on the way home...

Await the date for September. Could put together a bit of a run (Jay you listening?) to get there....

Cheers,

BF

Excellent pics - many thanks for sharing them with us. The Mosler's colour really does come out fantastically, and the DeLorean shot is superb. I think the owner may want a copy of that one!

Lyndsay - I like the post processing you've done - nice effects especially on the yellow and red Ultimas.
I'm most impressed that you managed to get shots of the Mosler without people crowding round it!!

Hi Timmy - I think your shots are really gorgeous, I love the moody edit. Hopefully I'll get a chance to chat to you at the next event.

I'm gutted I didn't get a picture of the little Alfa. My parents had one of those when I was small, in the same colour. That shot really does it justice.

I hate to say, Jamie, I remember being at the Motorfair in '81 (?) at Earls Court and DMC were there attempting to sell them. I spent a good half hour on that stand. Loved looking over yours yesterday!
