Well I hope I'm this drunk tomorrow smile

John has kindly offered to help me with my car problem, see you at the pub - I expect a lift off everyone with a spare passenger seat over the weekend.

Jon - there didn't seem to be anything wrong with your GT2 in the shite weather last weekend!

I am hoping to see you off at the start from 1030am onwards. I will post some vids up on this thread for you to see when you get back (unless anyone is taking a laptop! wink )...

Well, everyone got there safely! smile

We're also back safe, but as we had to detour to get the kids, I can't say about the others.

The route down was superb, even if it did rather push my brakes to the limit of endurance, and my route back was at least as good! I couldn't say where it was, but anyone with a BMW Navteq satnav computer could do far worse than starting in Lostwithiel and asking it for the shortest (as opposed to fastest) route to Taunton! laugh

I made it back smile

It was some run back too. Crossing Dartmoor in the fog was interesting. And Turbofun's detour from the A303 was..erm..fun!

Nigel did his best to rear end a sheep, but that was about it for near miss scenarios!

Nice vid Dizeee thumbup LOL at the first comment!!

Only near misses I recall are my wingmirror nearly being ripped off by a bush as I overtook a rolling chicane of a Golf (sure you'll hear all about that Golf wink) And several suicidal sheep out on the moors laugh

The Golf was a high point of the weekend for me! smile

How do you guarantee 10 miles or so of completely empty moorland roads? Just put a rolling roadblock at the start and wait till even Granny in her Micra has cleared the other end before you overtake it! laugh

All I need now is some car sickness tablets, some nice air freshener to remove the wafting odour of cooking brake pads, and I'm up for a repeat run! biggrin

I guess the Golf did play a key role in that part of the run. Your brakes were very smelly.

Highlights for me was that super twisty bit and the run across Dartmoor - superb piece of road
