South OXON - Stoke Row pinter ?

Some of you will remember the evening a great PH crowd filled the smallish car park at the Cherry Tree, Stoke Row, South Oxon (5 miles from Henley). Twas a great evening. So good in fact we've bought a house a pint's throw away. Sadly stamp duty = no V8 at the mo, but before summer disappears shall we have a repeat get together there? You will witness me droolng this time (at the cars, possibly the beers too)

Woooh good turn out already!! Warn you.. not a big car park (say 20 cars at a push) but there's semi-easy road parking along the lane there (as long as you dont mind mounting the kerb as the road isnt huge) plus a lane that runs down the side of the pub grounds - will check wide enough asap.

Lets strike whilst the iron, plus the weather, is hot!

Since (so far) everyone's fine on the 2nd lets say that's decided. I'll warn the pub to expect us lot. As I say parking's not huge so if it's full park your P&J as close as you can wherever you're happy to. People do park along the street so if you have to, shouldnt raise an eyebrow. Food there is like most tarted up South Oxon pubs (good, pricey) sausages were mighty fine last time I was there.

Me,, well the grubby old Gti has got PH stickers on it, the little MR2 the nicer car... however since I now live a short dash from the Cherry Tree I might just saunter up & bring my decent camera to capture what will no doubt be a most enjoyable evening

Off to Monaco for extended stag weekend (!) back Monday. See you guys Tuesday.. prepare for lots of car park games when the earlier people are leaving (remember last time!)

just checked with pub that no other gangs are expected to take over the car park. Tonight only about 6 cars there so room for another 20 (at a push) - past that point as I mentioned theres reasonanble kerb parking across the front of the pub plus a lane to one side (park tight please !)

will get there around 7.30 all being well. I'll be the four eyes with the weighty camera
