Ford 4500 Radio code - Fiesta
Discussion
Hi Guys and Girls
Sorry to put this in GG but i'm sure the ford forum wont get as much exposure. If it could be left here for a few mintues i'd appreciate it Mods.
I've got a ford fiesta ('05) and i'm preping it to sell it. Putting the old head unit back in and the radio needs a code. Unfortunately the previous owner didn't write it down. Is there anyone out there who could advise how I can get the code for it? The serial number is M102163
Theres a pint in it for anyone who can help!
Thanks

He's obviously got access to the Ford system and was given the serial number.
You can get it for free, Ford radio code generator for M serial numbers. People used to unsolder various parts from the board and dump them then work out how the serial related to the code.tercelgold said:

I am being silly of course, I can see why, if you have the gear to look at it deeper its a great idea and leads to threads like this being answered correctly after 14 mins.

After unsoldering it and not destroying it in the process, then what ? you have a tiny thing in your hand, a radio that definitely does not work now and it is at about this point I think "hmm, I wish I had not just done this..."

You misunderstand. The desoldering stuff etc has already been done by other, cleverer people than me. I just ran a program, typed the number in and it spat out the code.I am being silly of course, I can see why, if you have the gear to look at it deeper its a great idea and leads to threads like this being answered correctly after 14 mins.
