Has anyone had problems with water entering passenger side footwell.
Think I've solved mine there's an intake for the heater underneath the n/s scuttle trim and if your trim is not fitted correctly water gets between the trim and windsreen then drips straight on top of the intake then through the heater fan and into the car thus making the whole of the passenger side carpet wet.
Not sure if the trim should have some sort of sealer onto the windsreen but this is what I'm going to do.

Yes possibly there is a rectangular shaped filter that goes into a type of intake trim.
But i've just had another look at it and to be honest the scuttle trim just doesn't seem to fit perfectly enough, to stop water from getting in unless i use sealer to seal it onto the bottom of the screen.

Apology's Dave for having a go at Ford guys sometimes you want to lash out when you get no help from them.
Filter is fine, either the windscreen has been changed or they've changed the filter at some point but i wouldn't say it's changed that often the cars only done 26000.
My problem looks like as you say scuttle trims not fitted correctly ,i think the scuttle trims need to be attached to the bottom windscreen trim first you then fit the whole thing in one hit by locating it onto the windscreen and then putting the front screws in.
I tried putting them back on one at a time as you push down you can't get it to clip in because the screen trim moves ever so slightly thus doesn't sit correctly and you get a gap water then drips down onto the filter or in my case a river.
