Window cleaner damaged my tuscan

EDIT: The window cleaner seems a decent bloke and has promised to pay to sort the damage. The intention of this thread is not to denigrate the window cleaner; I am calmer now than I was at the point I posted this thread, the damage will get sorted, and life will go on.

Have you gone way back through your vids just in case it could have been done maliciously by someone else?
Sorry to put that thought out there and raise suspicion but...nice new car, expensive paint, probably quite loud - could be worth looking into it a little further, perhaps - if only to put those concerns to rest.

I can understand your frustration but at least you have evidence. I'm imagining the hose has possibly been stood on, forcing a bit of grit into the surface at some point, and when the hose was dragged it's caused the scratch. Does the direction of the scratch match the dragging motion of the hose?
Thing is, the overall scratch shape seems to suggest an item was motionless, against the paint, with a certain amount of pressure, before the item moved, causing the scratch. I've had a shopping trolly bouncing into and along a car door previously and in another event a car was intentionally damaged with a sharp item. They both looked very different to each other.
Regardless, once it's repaired you'll forget about it and it will be back to perfection.

Microbore and Minibore are very soft and have a clear coating to avoid grit sticking to them.

Yes it's irritating, and I feel your pain, but it doesn't actually look too bad and a detailer will make that invisible (to everyone but you). These things do happen, and sooner or later you'll get a parking ding or something. I'd avoid insurance over something so trivial if you possibly can.
