For those early customers and anyone who is curious about what is involved in fitting the Afterburner lights, I have drafted a PDF file that gives instructions on the process. This file is 1MB and I will e-mail it to anyone who sends an e-mail to me. Thank you for your patience. Clive Reed Zertec Limited info@zertec.co.uk www.zertec.co.uk

Clive, When are you going to get some pics on the web site of after burners on a Cerb? Has anyone else done this? Pictures?

Did fit these to my chim about a month ago, not too difficult (without instructions) it is all fairly straight forward. The fun bit is doing the gluing of lenses into pods the night before which is reminiscent of my model aircraft days but after this they are a perfect fit into the exsisting holes. Mark wherever your holes happen to be for the fiesta units(vary apparently) drill and fit, wiring again pretty easy, will help to get little stickers and wire up app. wires before only slight modification are 2 wires to run across 1 for reverse and 1 for fog and bobs your mums brother! I soldered everything inc.LED rings but you can use scotchlocks just as easily. One tip when pratting about with wiring make sure none of them touch each other, the most time consuming task of all was me trying to locate blown fuses! (only had car few month's) Which sadist decided to put the fusebox there! They do look fantastic and in my opinion far superior to TVR's own new light upgrade especially the LED rings which at night look so alien to anything you will have driven behind before. I will post some pics. shortly BLACK CHIM 500 Edited by sher singh on Thursday 4th October 11:17

Sounds great Sher - any chance of getting a picture or three of them in the flesh in daylight etc? We're gagging for it. Trefor/.

Got the instructions, look great, got to be cheaper than trading in for a new Chimaera, but how much are they?

Are they fully approved for road use or might we have pronlems with ahy particulary piccy MOT testers in the future ?? Aren't they meant to have a little E in a circle or something on lights ?

Talking of prices, Clive, can we have some pricing on your seats please? I know that they're approx. £1000 for the pair, but the PistonHeads review of your demo car said that there are various optional extras like heating, lumbar support, etc. that can be added, but there are no prices on your website. Regards Jon

a) instructions at the link posted by Ted, above.
b) Caps Lock. Left hand side, third key from the bottom.
c) Handbags at 50 paces!
(er, what I really mean is...)
c) Easy tiger. I can understand people getting snooty with dealers (been there, done that, got the blood pressure to prove it), but Clive's just a bloke. If he was in the rip-off business, he wouldn't be posting here, with his e-mail address, phone number and everything else. Not unless he wears asbestos underpants and has a police bodyguard, anyway.

Clive's got a day job too which has had him travelling the world the last couple of weeks which may explain some delays. Allow 28 days for delivery and all that!

He tells me he'll be back in the UK next week. I'm also expecting to hear about my afterburners then, so I expect he'll do what he can. As Ted says, he's rarely in the UK but I've never known him not come up with the goods eventually.

Can you send me your e-mail address and daytime telephone number so that I can sort the mis-supply of the lights out. If you can do this in the next couple of hours I will be able to sort this out today.

My difficulty is travel, I have been stuck in Vladivostok, Russia for a couple of weeks without my order address book and I am now off to New York via San Francisco before arriving in London on about 22nd. You have my apologies for the frustrating delay.

Top reply from Clive there, what is it about company bashing at the moment on PistonHeads, must be the weather???
I thought this was going to become another thread Ted was going to have to lock.
This could become the 'net version of 'Watchdog'? I hope not. (Got a ginger wig and a scowel Ted?)
