First I'd like to express my condolences to Dom, all at TVR Power and all the owners with damaged cars.

I'd also like to state the positive thing that seems to have come from this; how well the band of brothers / sisters that are TVR have banded together, in offering help to Dom, and each other. Really makes me humble to be a part of such a group.

Really sorry to hear of this sad incident, we all love our TVR's, feeling for those who have lost their treasured motors, and for Dom & Co who have suffered in many ways. frown

Hope everything gets back on track soon.

What is it with TVR and fire? Bristol Avenue burned in 1975.

Take heart from the fact that TVR got bigger and better after that event. I'm sure this will be the case for Dom too.

Just wanted to thank Dan and Andrea for checking with Dom and letting me know that my car was OK.

While it's a huge relief to know my car survived, I really feel for those who have not been so lucky and if there's anything I can do to help out up there, I'm more than happy to add my name to the list of volunteers.

Just done a capex at work for a localised deluge system (£12K) on one high risk process. In discussions with finance dept, they reckon a big fire in our factory could cost £58 Million.

Dom and co - best of British getting the business back on it's feet.

I'm sure it won't be easy but nothing that is worth while ever is.

I have to consider myself lucky, I tried to book my car in for a service this week and they were busy. Totally sorry for those that did have cars there and for Dom and the guys.

A question for those that have talked to Dom or been up there, though I guess I already know the answer. Do they have any idea yet how long before they can open again? I have my car booked in for next week, my guess is it won't happen now, just want to confirm that.

Not going to get into it as I didn’t mean to highjack the thread and it will only get censored again.

I have my reasons, if you want to know email me. My estimation of this web site has fallen even more and I will seriously consider any further posts from this username or any other. (which might please some but would just about sum up this site)

Get on with patting each other on the backs and kissing each others Ar$es!

just to clear things up,bbc have done some editing on that vidio, i said i had spent 35k on the car over the last year including buying it,but they've chop it up abit to sound better lol

money can't replace that we'd work really close on the prodject and alot of thought and enginerring had gone into it, would have made big hp figures

o well

all the best for dom in a fast recovery, owning a business i know it must be heart renching

No need for any explaining here. If, unlike some earlier posters, you have a passion for your car you don't have to justify here or anywhere how much/little you spend on it. The memory of the sound you made blasting off down the mountain route on the IofM will stay with me for a long time by the wayears
Heartfelt sympathy to all involved

I'd like to add that my thoughts are with Dom & the Team.

There's me thinking that I should call them to book in for a little Magic on the suspension since I have replaced some parts.

Here's to a swift and not too stressful recovery for all those involved.

Just want to say good luck with getting the business back on track. I know how devastating a fire can be in your garage ( my dad had one in his garage a couple of years ago).

Good luck Dom

I hope u get it all back together (I may need a rebuild on the Tuscan soon due to ragging wink)

Has anyone read the (now closed) thread from the homepage? I'm astounded at some of the utter tcensoreds we have on this site... Why can't people just be nice when something like this happens?
