Would not waste your fuel coming up to crail mate the surface is terrible. But a brand new 1/4 Strip is being built In Ayrshire about 2 1/2 hours from Cumbria and 10 minutes away from my house work is going ahead this year from what i have seen.
Staying off the track and 1/4 this year. nursing the car through the summer as gear box and clutch are getting very tiered second gear selector is gone and 5th syncro is going clutch is going as well
![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
But i will get down to POD at some point and with the tiv been on my wish list to get there along with goodwood for years.

"Hi
You may have seen some press coverage recently, so I thought I’d update you on progress with the Nobel Race Park. We are still in the planning process, and there is one objection that may cause us some delay, but hopefully, nothing more than that.
The objection comes from Chemring who produce propellants at a plant at Ardeer. A Dutch Company who like testing these things in Scotland!!
The objection has two main components – which actually contradict each other. Firstly, they say that the land should not have use changed from industrial to leisure. This, despite that land being unused and unwanted for around 30 years, and the fact that there is actually a surplus of industrial land in the area.
The second objection, on the face of it more serious, is that our project falls with ‘exclusion zones’ set up to deal with the result of possible accidents at the plant. However, the ‘exclusion zones’ they are using were established when Nobel and later ICI were producing huge quantities of extremely volatile explosives, and not propellants used in the likes of car air bags.
It is also worth considering that they would seem to be happy to have industrial units there (presumably with workers), but not race-goers.
The Health and Safety Executive have looked into this and have raised no objection to our project, but rather have said that a review should be carried out on the practices at Chemring.
As I have said, this may cause delay. If you can, an email from you to the Head of Planning at North Ayrshire Council, copied to the local MP and MSP – Katy Clark and Kenny Gibson respectively indicating your support for the project might help.
Can you have as many of your like minded friends do the same?
Thanks.

Cheers all - when I get it back, believe me there will be A LOT more pictures! ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
The colour code is SF-6. Think of it as a dark graphite/Ferrari Grigio Silverstone with a spectraflair in it. Basically a warning to anyone with a SW paint code on their TVR - you will not be able to match your paint. Something to do with the way Americans use larger ball bearing races to get the metal flake for metallic paints....
As for the glassfibre, and the mesh, Brendan at Raceproved bodyshop has done some amazing work. Arrow straight lines, just the most amazing angles - it really adds up into something very special IMHO. I'll do a full thread when I get it back - I have process photos (but if you reverse engineer the Photobucket details, you'd be able to get a sneak peak).
I can't wait... a few more weeks...

I think the paint code issue, if I can recal accurately how Brendan explained it, was that another paint company vied for TVRs account, TVR gave them a load of paints to copy which they duly made up, TVR used them on some of the cars but never took the deal just got a load of free paint. The company in question for these paints hasn't kept the details so can't match them. ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Or, I suspect, that after probably being taken for a ride by PW and duped into supplying a load of free paint they scrubbed the data?
