Good post Trev. Yeah for those of you who are not familiar with Blackpool there are more speed camera than residents!!!!!!!! So be carefull out there. The BIB are aware what is happening so will probably be on the look out.

From a original idea from hormone I have produced the A3 print as below, thought it would be nice to put them on the cars when parked at the factory, if deemed appropriate bt Dave Chant (NTEL) I would be happy to bring enough for all the cars,.
Just a thought.
I would also like to thank Dave (NTEL) for all the hard work he and others have put in to ensure this event happens.
MrMop
Looks good to me matey, go for it

And thanks for the kind words, but honestly, Its me who is thanking all of the people who have taken time out to attend this. Also a huge thanks to the people who can't make it but supporting it in their own way. Details later after I have spoken to somebody.

Dave,
Just got the green light for the day off. If anyone from Sheffield wants a lift, got a spare seat!
Count me in.......

Great news Tim. Thats a nice car on your profile. Where did you get that from

I have just had a telelphone conversation with Chris Pollard of Eclipse Motor Sport. They have, very generously, donated a huge £100.00 to the workers beer kitty. Many, many thanks. Im sure that will go down very nicely
Unfortunately Chris cannot attend. Whist I'm posting, Chris is looking for a suitable V8 (AJP) that he can use in his Tuscan Racer as he would very much like to get it back on the track where it should be. Anybody got one lying about or can point him in the right direction.

A tener a TIV plus donations, guys/gals at the factory should get banjoed . whats left they can wack out.ENJOY.
Yeah, I wondering what to do what anything that was left. I think that probably the best thing to do.
If its OK with the PH collective, MrsNtel is one of those there accountant types and she has offered to collect any kitty money, manage the donations made directly to the Red Lion, and receipt everything in and out. She will take a list of donators and amounts, and reconsile(sp?)the accounts at the end of the day. Anything left could be given to the factory lads to, maybe, divi up with those from the factory who couldn't make it.
Whats the general opinion?
Dave.
I'm off trick or treating now with my grandsons, see ya later.
I take your point about any possible left over food / beer being construde as a handout. I think you are quite correct. We have got a couple of days to sort this out, so no worries. Quite like the idea of the Tuscan Challange donation though.
Are people comfortable with Mrs NTEL controlling the money?
If you have not met her, here she is ......

Dave,
Are places still available? it's just that the "we have our 50 message" kinda confused me, incase space is at a premium. The Tuscan has already had a 600 mile round trip to Birmingham this week so any chance to stretch it's legs for this worthy cause would be more than welcome.
Best regards,
James Sim.

James, the 50 was just a minimum number we were aiming for to make the rally worthwhile. COME ON DOWN!!
Parking will be a bit tight on Bristol Avenue though.

I have just arranged overflow parking at the old NST offices dead opposite the factory (will take about 60 cars). This is on the basis of no liability on the owners of the building.
Great news that Brian. Well done Sir. How did ya manage that? Could do with a chat with you. You have voice mail.

Well I've succeded and got the friday off and will show my support and meet at Pontins.
I was actually at Bristol Avenue in the service bay with my Griff on the Wednesday 18th October having a fault rectified.
When they called all the workforce to a meeting at 12:30.
The lads informed me an hour later when they returned from the meeting the bad news!
Every credit to them they got straight back to work on my cars fault and assured me it would be fixed that day which it was, even after they went to a second meeting at 14:00
It was awful to see and hear it first hand like they did, and I hadn't lost my job !
I hope it works out for them, they deserve it
I had made arrangements to go on Friday of that week.
When I heard the news I phoned Heath & he told me I should still go.I was greeted with a cheery smile. They got on with the job immediately (new door control box)& soon it was job sorted.
That is what I call customer commitment - they must have been very concerned about their future but still got on with the job - it made me feel quite humble. Cheers lads you all deserve better than this - see you Friday.
I collect my car from the factory following some work to the roof on the morning of the 18th. I left at 10.30am before the news got out (Glad I wasn't there to witness it). By the time I got to TVR Power in Coventry at 12.30 on the same day, the news was out. The lads at Power were absolutely gutted for their mates in Blackpool. Terrible.
Important Request
As there are going to be a lot more attending than first thought, can I ask for some volunteers to help with parking cars both at Bristol Ave and the Red Lion. It would be great if any passengers could do this. My thoughts are, when we regroup on Moor Park Ave, around the corner from the factory, people could walk round and take up positions near to spare spaces and at the entrance to the NST car park. At the red lion, we have reserved 60 places however it is a huge car park and it shouldn't be a problem accomodating another 40 cars if necessary.
Thanks in Advance

Just had confirmation that Granada Television and the BBC will be covering this from start to finish.
Granada will be there at 11.45am to film everybody arriving at Pontins. They then want to put a cameraman into one of the cars and join us for the drive to the factory. They will be filming at the factory and the Red Lion pub so it is absolutely vital that everybody is on there best behaviour.
