An Olympic car for an Olympic year.
LOL - nice line, and yes, should be ready sometime next year, just in time for the 100 meters perhaps.Progress is rapid at the moment with about 75% of the work completed including all the major engineering. As soon as everything reaches the pretty stage I'll post up some pics. There is still quite a bit of dust blowing around at the moment as the air boxes are made. I'm thinking reflex charcoal for the colour although I really like the idea of having it in purple.
Hi, all
I'm thinking about the best way to reinvigorate www.speed12.info
All opinions welcome. This is not a request for services (unless free of course). I'm interested to find out what it is that would be of interest and how best to structure the site to make it more useful.
I also have speed12.com (currently unused) so this is likely to be the new home at some point in the future. I also have the facebook account. I'll probably also use it to post up progress on the rebuild of the second speed 12.
Thanks
G1ABB

A quick update for you:
Chassis/brakes/suspension all done and car sitting on it's wheels.
All major engineering complete.
V12 Engine/gearbox/cooling - almost complete and should be good for xxx BHP. Engine mg't ready to install. Needs dyno.
Wiring - Loom not far off
Exhaust system - done
Pipework - brakes not connected up yet
Interior - done
Bodywork - all more or less ready to paint (some work needed on the doors.)
Car is already registered with original plate (BFV)
I keep meaning to take some pictures... I'll definitely post something up before Xmas seen as were reaching the shiny stage. W112 BHG (just the heads to put back together!)

peed 12 in that colour looks incredible.
Had my Ultima GTR colour changed to Reflex Charcoal a few years back by S&D, the colour completely changed the visual characteristics of the GTR's body to see it in the flesh was breathtaking.
If I had a Speed 12 would be in that colour no question, being a truly special car in a truly special colour...

What a garage full of toys..we like purple ...purple is good
How about the SP12 engine...any closer?
(I understand you have a thread on facebook, but I don't have an account..)
If only it was my own garage! Engine for the new Speed 12 is built and ready to go on the dyno. V12/dry sumped/bespoke oil pump/injectors/lots of new shiny parts! It is all wired up - just needs linking to the ECU. Brian is currently making the parts required to sit it on the dyno. Won't be long. How about the SP12 engine...any closer?

And a Countach in the background too.... Some people !
Looking forward to seeing these two Speed12s in the flesh soon
That Countach is in the queue for a major rebuild. Unfortunately some vermin got inside where the owner had it stored. There is the remains of a nest in the glove box!Looking forward to seeing these two Speed12s in the flesh soon
The so called "New" Speed 12 is likely to be on the road before W112 BHG, just due to timing of getting the work completed.
