Not bad looking, needs better wheels, proper aero, carbon fibre tub/body, updated Straight Six 450bhp/400 lb ft, weight 950kg, a good pdk system, decent air con system.
I'd be in interested in that.

That makes it £100k+ and it's not special enough for that.

Speak for yourself, some would say a £100+k 991 Gt3 isn't special, that doesn't stop Porsche selling lots of units. A carbon fibre tubed/body Tvr with a 450 bhp Tvr engine that looks like a Sag would be very special, 8 year old fibre glassed ones with 360bhp Tvr engines sell for near £60k.

The GT3 might not be special, but it is a thoroughly developed product with global dealer support. It's a safe choice for anyone wanting to buy with the heart but needing to satisfy the head as well. Noble makes terrific cars, but how many 600s have they sold? They were fine when they were knocking out cars for about £50k and less, but take a step up and it's a different ball game.

Lets hope any new car gets to see a wind tunnel
And lots of testing I think that's far more important
But hopefully that would not have an effect on the styling
They need bonkers styling / mad power / and some safety
That's my ten pences worth

There are plenty of people who make money out of muddying the water .......
Don't give them airtime, some confuse that with legitimacy which is what is intended

Source? Real or just some photoshop musings?

I like it, wherever it comes from.

Although the immediate negativity in the first few posts is so predicable as to be laughable. rolleyes

Nonono!

'TVR fans' was set up by me in response to the italian, A version of 'TVR Engineering' was set up at the same time by a belgian who had the same idea, we got talking and decided to both run the TVR engineering site.

The italian bottom feeder's TVR site was then closed down and he started an identically named page called himself the official page, and has since filled it with pictures almost exclusively of sags, some of them taken from ours. He also directed people from the old TVR page he plundered. (Its very, very annoying)

The major difference is the Italian is pretending to be the official site and talking like them. Ours openly says it is run by enthusiasts and openly says it isn't official in its description. And its 100x better, we actually put quite a bit of effort into it day-to-day. We're planning a name change, but facebook only allows 1 change, so not rushing into it. (Want to get ahead of the italian first)

So, in essense.

REAL - run by enthusiasts who care for the brand:
https://www.facebook.com/tvr.cars.engineering

FAKE - pretending to be official, duping the world with false information to feed whatever his agenda is:
https://www.facebook.com/TVReng
^^^^^PLEASE REPORT THIS ONE!

I hope that clears things up. (Also, any ideas for names?)

There are no 'official TVR' pages at the moment run by the new owners.

TVR Club is also not the TVRCC and not official in any way, I'd suggest you refrain from 'Liking'

All of the pages sporting the rather dodgy Sagaris images reproduced with the official TVR webpage 'Thunderous News' images incorporated are not official and are the work of the Italian kit car builder.

Agree, although ours does have a fair bit of 'original' content on ALL models and is by far the most active :P

We would never even dream of pretending to be official, hence the planned name change once the italian problem is dealt with.

YesI wasn't referring to you, sorry if that wasn't clear. Yes you make it plain you're a fan page and not trying to pass yourself off as an official TVR site.

Thanks, to be honest, I admit the whole situation is a bit of a mess really. Its not ideal. We're just trying to make the most engaging and entertaining outside of the TVRCC, and putting surprising effort into it, variety is the spice of life I suppose...
