Yes. Frankly it was sh*te this year. As was the "TVR Camping" signing. God help us we didn't camp in the official bit and it turned out to be a real mistake.
Bunch of South Welsh idiots kept our bit awake so late I could barely follow the racing the next day.
Oh and if you are reading this...I really didn't need to know the sexual preferences of the young woman with you. And, I suspect, nor did 50 other people. But there you go. Now we know.
F***s.

I doubt those guys will read this. I was in that area too, and I'm not entirely sure why they were there. They turned up in an Escort van, pitched the tent and started playing football in amongst the TVR's! (moved my car pretty sharpish) They also didn't seem to have much interest in the racing.
However, appart from that, and the confusion over where to park, (why couldn't they have set aside a better area like the marcos and Porsche areas) we had a good weekend. The racing was excellent, with a good variety of cars, and the GT race was a real nail biter!!
Being South 'Welsh' myself - please don't tar everyone with the same brush!.
The racing was excellent, the parking was just a shambles, I think the popularity of the event obviously caught the admin people at Combe by suprise and gave rise to the obvious chaos.
Unfortunately you also get idiots turning up to all sorts of events these days - what can you do? Take the number plates and ban them from the next one??, go over and challenge them to shut up???

quote:Actually, Mike, I'm Welsh myself originally...and I didn't mean any offence to the fine people of South Wales and having lived in Cardiff for four years in my youth I do know a bit about their general warmth and friendliness. The t*****s at the site could have been from anywhere...and they didn't mean any harm...they were just (very) inconsiderate. And no...you could challenge them and it would just start a fight. I'm too old and smart to want to ache that badly the next day! Ah well. Nothing to be done. I shall, however, be VERY careful choosing pitches in the future..and I could still be unlucky..so there we go.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of sitting next to them at the side of the circuit - burping and swaring all day long - as well as just barging in and moving our seats so that they could get near the front - soon warned them though. I thought that one of them had a TVR (South Wales) dealer shirt on.
It was a pity about the parking - I too had washed and polished! I think that the organisers had thought that all TVRs would have parked in the Camping area - but it was so badly sign posted - and the guys on the gate just said "...over there somewhere...".
Racing was great though - watch out Porkies!
