The second Spectraflair Orange Helical TR12 made an appearance with us at Lytham Hall Classic Car Show yesterday as a static display , the Purple one was away on "Tour" .... Unfortunately the Aston V12 engine is being worked upon .. so we had to man handle it into position , but it certainly wasn't "UNDER WRAPS" smile

Ohhh and of course TVRs won the best stand prize .

It isn't even registered as a TVR. It has never been MOT'd and it is SORN'd. It's just as ugly, just as useless, and about as old as "new" Griffith.

What is that bloated orange mess? Looks like a motoring version of Elvis just before he carked it.

It’s a shame they didn’t get the design right. Or fit a decent engine. Or get the pricing right. Or sell any (?).

We are taking the copy not the original. I am fine with the original. But the helical copy doesn’t do it for me.

But they did grace a few racetracks testing it with the speed 12 at Brands as I was there. Around 2000 and it was a special looking thing back then as a racecar. If it went as good as it looked on track it would have been a massive success but that was miles from reality, it did act as a very good publicity stunt though and suggested great things.
Just needed some investment……

The orange one is original chassis and body, helical have the speed 12 moulds and the rights to produce .... so are truely original , just not a TVR Speed !2 engine and a lot of other technical enhancements... as Turbo and Supercharger developers , I think Helical are aiming it more as a technology demonstrator... but if if you've got the odd £Million , I'm sure they would like to speak to you smile .

Same here. It seems madness to lease a vehicle in my opinion.

Our fleet of six vehicles has a collective age of 103 years.

I’m doing my bit to keep manufacturing emissions down.

I'd never really thought about it before but our 5 cars have a total age of 124! yikes

The two youngest are 15 years old

ETA ... and all roadworthy and legal.

I have 3 cars .. The youngest is the Tuscan 16 years, then the Chim 21 years and finally the Beemer 24 years ... so only 61 years in total
My Brother has a Rolls Royce 20 96 years old, a Daimler 60 years old and an Audi 10 years old so 166 years .. so he wins so far smile

The orange one is horrid. Maybe it’s the colour. But whatever it’s not great. The blue one is their own evolution and is a nice try but a big miss.
I loved the original Cerbera speed 12. I went to Graham’s house to have a look. A speed 12 Cerbera doesn’t need to be £1m or whatever it is that helicat is want for it. Whether I can afford it or not is irrelevant. No one else is buying anyway.

I thought Mike Vernon was needed full time to keep the Speed 12 running smile and it didn't have an interior smile

Mike of course is leading the Helical Project with 3 other ex TVR employees

That original red one is different to the orange copy. Lots of changes. None of them for the better.

One Russian MLR salvo is probably the entire CO output of Droitwich for a year.

Probably

Just saying.
Keeing with the Birmingham theme, one Russian MLR salvo would probably make £15 million worth of improvements to Dudley, a bit like the 2002 earthquake did.
