clap Excellent turnout from everyone today - well done to Dave for all the organising - the workers I spoke to really seemed to appreciate it (hope they took full advantage of the kitty!! drunk)

I only had a 40 mile drive so bow to all the people who travelled from down south - fantastic effort!!

It probably won't change anything in the long run,but at least we showed our support for the workforce

Nice one, shows some real support. And well done again to Dave for organising it!
You were the one who kept pressing until there were enough cars!

And can anyone upload/send it to me to upload the News feature or any other bits n bobs? If so drop me a line!

Absolutely fantastic day, a big thankyou to you Dave, and to all those others who helped and gave their support, and the best of wishes to the TVR staff for the future, and thank you for your welcome today.

Liked the yellow Tam!

That was me!

It was amazing. The highlight for me was the workforce applauding us as we drove past the factory - we were supposed to applaud them! Guys and gals, you were FANTASTIC and a tear came to my eye on more than one occasion. Talking to many of you at the pub really emphasised that this event was ABSOLUTELY the right thing to do AT THIS TIME. The passion you have for making our cars was so, so clear (even though I knew that already). Machinehead, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you today.

I wish all of you the very, very best for the future. clap bow

By the way, nice one by the TVR management - allegedly kicking out the workforce at 12pm allegedly in an attempt to scupper the event, and interestingly the media allegedly reported it as the workforce 'downing tools and walking out'. Also allegedly phoning the police to have Bristol Avenue closed off, only allegedly to be told by the police 'no'. rolleyes Hats off to the local plod for this, including the motorcycle officer who asked one of the workforce for a Union Flag, then put it on his bike! Brilliant.

So a day to remember for the respect and appreciation shown by the workforce for the owners, and vice versa. Today we DID make a difference, as I was told this by a number of the guys and gals.

May all of your dreams and wishes come true - it pi$$es me off something terrible that your skills and passion are being wasted by NS and some of his cronies, IMHO completely unnecessarily.

What great and strange day all at the same time... an old geezer was talking to me whilst we waited at Pontins telling me he had come out to wish us well for coming today. He said he knew Trevor Wilkinson when he first started ( and was making f/glass sink units apparently ?!?) and said the whole town had heard about us coming to support the TVR staff....
Then some buggering about by the TVR management(loose term) trying to scupper the whole thing (alledgedly).......and then to come down Bristol Ave to have us clapped and cheered and told "Thank You!" by the staff members!....that caught me out......very emotional and slightly sad day...especially talking to some of the staff in the pub later....they really are at a bit of a loss.....good luck to all of them...

Their alleged actions would demonstrate, amongst other things, panic, a complete lack of ideas and predictability. rolleyes Not what you would expect to see with management having a modern approach.

Says it all, really - IMHO that's why our beloved marque and workforce are where they are today (allegedly).

Hey the cars on tv... would not be there if it had not been for the excellent workers of TVR UK!

No. Thank you!

Driving down Bristol Ave with all of you clapping us was very emotional and surely the wrong way round. I was also very touched when several workers came up to us at the pub to thank us for our support. As I told them it is absolutely the least we could have done.

Good luck and best wishes to all the lads and lassies at TVR.
