who looks on facebook anyway, its for chavs trying to get laid
No it isn't. Lots of people use Facebook. Probably a minority of pensioner aged people (but definately some), a reasonable wedge of middle aged people, a majority of young working aged people and a majority of teenagers.

Of those, some are teenage males and yes, they'll be trying to get laid and of those some will be chavs. The rest of the males will probably be married and will have given up trying to get laid.

I'll accept that it's a generational thing, but social media is here to stay so you can either like it or leave it, but as with everything life will move in a convenient direction and the traditional ways you do things will fizzle out over the next decade or two.

All the major car manufacturers already campaign quite heavily on Facebook etc. They still advertise on TV and they still have write-ups done in car mags (which are mostly available paperless for you iPad or whatever - something I don't own btw!) but the easier and cheaper they can reach a wider audience, the more heavily they'll push in a direction. At the moment, Facebook is it.

I think that's the guy behind the 'TVR CARS' page on facebook.

Gianluca Gregis, an italian car builder.
www.unicoesemplare.it

I've checked his personal page and i found this:

the one in the left corner, same car he posted on facebook last week as 'the new tvr 2013'

Now that doesn't look half bad from the front...

If the guy responsible is monitoring this thread, get yourself on here and embrace us instead of trying to take us on and start a fight all the time.

It may or may not be an official TVR, but if you are more transparent you never know we might be able to help or even be interested in what you have to offer!

The whole *this is the new TVR cars* seems dodgy, but he does have some very nice cars about.

Shame it's been handled the way it has as he *might* be capable of producing something very tasty...

Ah! this looks familiar - even with TVR wheels (although no mention of it being a TVR)

Dear all
some friends informed me today that some of you are talking about me.
I'm a PH member since 2000 and i know also the founder Dave of this site.
I've always worked with British cars and i know them very well and i respect always the british works.

SO

I ask to the people that inserted here not Authorized images to removed them because of my property or at least ask me to use them.
I ask to the people that talk about me in discussions they don't know, to remove my name because can be associate at no real facts.

I'm a professionist and i build cars. I have people that order me projects and prototypes so if you have any problems with them, just talk to them. I have many projects and customers at the moment and i cannot take care about all the forum discussions but i would like to protect my work especially if associated with invented stories.

Thanks for your help and good work with PH. I like it but please, take care to write proper stories. Cheers.

You can't go posting 100's of other people's photos on 'your' Facebook page and then complain about someone doing the same with your photos. If you're worried about others taking credit for your work then put a big watermark across your images?

Personally I don't care if the cars you are designing are not 'authentic' TVRs, they look like they will have the same soul as a TVR. Go for it! Get them on the road, and call them what you like. What is in a name? Nobody complains about Cameron Diaz having the same name as the much loved (not) British PM.

Elisek - are you saying that you have merely been commissioned to build a prototype, rather than you are the main instigator behind all this?

Please don't shoot the messenger but I understand the FB page is a fake and steps have been taken to have it removed.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Well when it's a fake, it's only fair to have it taken down. I wonder if many people reported that page?

Seconded on both counts. Mr Gregis, you write with the same style of English as the person who banned me (and most others here) from the TVR CARS Facebook page for being unhelpful, so I do suspect it is you.

I think you are wrong to judge us as hooligans or trouble makers and would suggest that we are exactly the people you need as your customers. That car which looks a little bit like a Cerbera is very nice, and I would consider it if it came to the market, but I won't give my money to a man who bans me from his Facebook page and brands me a hooligan.

It's pleasing to hear that you like British cars - we have something in common there, but please treat us with the same respect and courtesies and you demand yourself.

I'm sure many of us here would be very pleased to hear about some of these cars you are building, but only if you can accept questions and constructive criticism without taking it as a personal insult, the way the Facebook page seems to have gone.

I also have information from the previous admin of that group (Ovidiu....one of NS's guys) that the name of the person it was transferred to was Gianluca Gregis. Either its someone of the same name and a mighty coincidence...or somebody is telling porkies here...

Also, looking through their post history, every topic started seems to relate to a tvr type vehicle (one even titled 'new cerbera'), although the original post in most of them was mysteriously deleted on 4th this year (even if years old). Other topics started seem to go 'Just found this TVR Cars group on facebook....don't know who runs it' type of thing.

I'd suggest you stop digging a hole for yourself.

A comedy of errors..

- Claiming a company name you don't own.
- Using a company logo you don't own.
- Attempting to register a logo that is already registered.
- Pretending to be a company you don't own.
- Damaging the reputation of a company you don't own.
- Using photos you don't own.

A little advice. Hide. Your. Assets. Quickly.

Dear guys
I thought i was enough clear in my previous post.
I Build cars, prototypes and i have private and company costumers.
My knowledge on hand made cars, luckly, make me survive in this hard world.
That is my job.

I want thanks the people that made me congratulations on their post and i'm sorry i can't reply directly to everyone but i don't enought time.

If you want make the name of a person and you don't want listen what he is trying to say directly to you, i don't see the point to talk about him. don't you?

I have costumers with car projects but i cannot give you any information on confidential works covered by contracts.
If you want ask me anything on my job or my cars i'm happy to discuss with you here on PH when i have time maybe on specific topic, as already happened in past time, but i asked to remove the pictures or post where i'm associated to stories that you don't know from inside, making only assumptions. My request it is fair, unless i need to report for my first time on PH some posts. please do it.

I respect everyone and i pretend to be respected in my work.

I know this kind of discussion in a forum can generate a controversy without an end.
But you have the choice to listen me or continue with your assumptions.

Take care
