Anyone for a beer & some nosh at TGI Friday's, Cheltenham, tonight or sometime in the week? Am down all week bar Tuesday and Friday night, and "table for one, sir" is going to get old pretty quickly...

07970 459 553. Might not have the Chim with me though - perilously close to needing a service, so the long distance stuff probably has to go on the (whisper it) BMW right now...

I'll be the bloke sat at the bar with a book or two and a pint. Actually, by 9pm it'll probably be a long island iced tea - the only way to travel.

Just a reminder that the proposed meet is this coming weekend (as we decided that we would join the Cotswold 3 Counties TVRCC meeting):
'Edgemoor Inn at Edge on the A4173 near Painswick, lunchtime Sunday January 27th from around 12:30 hours'

Anybody decided they are coming? So far
martvr - yes
MBS3 - yes
crimsonchim - might, if not decided to go on holiday
funkyboogalooo - seems interested
FatBoy Spin, Veg and panoz - all expressed an interest in the previous proposal

Anybody else going? There have been quite a few people posting to this thread that aren't on the list yet.

Cheers, Martin.

MBS3 and Marshy,

I'll try and get down this evening about 9:00pm if I can find it, so you might get a call for directions if I get lost. I may also be in a BMW, looks like we could start a splinter TVRBMWCC group (ducks for cover). Not so sure about the iced tea though!

Easy. From the M5/A40 junction, head into Cheltenham along the A40. Take the third exit at the first roundabout, which is actually straight on along the A40 past hrrrmpfmumble . At the next roundabout, take the second exit, still A40, 1 o'clockish. TGI Friday's is a few hundred yards along there on the right, just before a shell garage, next to a Travel Inn, opposite the Dick Lovett garage. (Comedy name if I ever saw one).

I'm staying in the Travel Inn, hence me arbitrarily choosing TGI's 'cos I can get plastered there every night.

Here, don't you take the p£$% out of them, I've got one of their stickers in my back window. Must admit it makes me grin every time I see it and is usually an excuse for a joke whenever I have to mention it on the phone. Car came from Richard Lovetts in Swindon though didn't realise that the Cheltenham dealers had been taken over by them as well.

Martin,

I expect to be there on Sunday - have mentioned to Panoz & RJAM, we'll have to see if they can make it. Just got the new head gasket/valve springs/seals/other bits for the Vixen so if I pull my finger out the head'll go back on this Saturday. If all's well Sunday morning and the weather's good I'll get the old girl out. Still got this 'flu bug which'll stop me getting along tonite, though.

Have a good time.

Martin,

Thanks for getting it off the ground for today - let's hope we can keep it going. Seemed like a good turnout and I think it surprised DJ!

Cheers to all,

Spin,

I thought it was a good venue and opportunity to meet up with some new faces and quite a lively meeting. Interesting list of proposals for the coming years' activities as well. Looks like you might get some local support for your sprinting / hill climbing. Pleased to see that the important bits from the head were occupying pride of place in the kitchen, best place to work in this weather.

Anybody else from this thread who has expressed an interest in meeting up - details of the next meeting of the TVRCC Cotswold 3 Counties region can be found in Sprint. Second Wednesday of the month and last Sunday. Post a query here if you need the detail.

Martin.
