it would be an excellent "villain" car...

Les Edgar from a couple of years ago..

"It’s a rebellious marque, the antithesis of James Bond. And since the factory’s demise in the early 2000s, nothing has filled that space."

It's not going to be a James Bond film. I know some TVR owners have vivid imaginations, but really.... I just can't see 007 by the side of the road waiting for the RAC to arrive...

I want it to succeed. I want TVR to continue. And bragging rights is a big part of that.

I won't be buying this car however. Is that clearer?

Well the last email has kept me 'on-side' again for a little longer - the Corvette still is mighty appealing alternative, but holding off for a little longer. But the missus certainly prefers the look of the Corvette, and most certainly the front-end. And in truth the front-end has never really done it for me either - it needs to look 'angier' and not like Lightening McQueen on a happy day.

I do wonder if even just painting the inside of the lights and the black 'triangle' below would be better, like my trusty old Masser?

Yes, I know they're not LEDs in there, but it's just the background to the light 'pod' is painted body coloured. My best photoshop efforts try to see what it would be like, but I'm sure someone smarter than me can do a better rendering.

Yes, we are not after much are we?

I'd be happy if the cover was removed, but not sure if that would be legal and if the leds are waterproof!

Les should be proud of his efforts and if it was my child and it had a lazy eye, would I care what people thought?

It is what it is, if it's the final configuration, so be it - we don't have to buy it, but I am really looking forward to driving it like a pussy because it is too much of a car for me!

Does anybody remember the Mitsubishi 3000 GT? the one where the massive headlamp covers were "hidden" by body coloured paint on the inside?

I think it was a mitsubishi anyway - you could still see they were horrible lights, but they made them a little bit more palatable.

I think I still prefer the original. Its really growing on me and even like the colour and wheels now.

I think it's the sharp edge of the upper lip that grates with me most. I would prefer a more rounded snout a la cerb or tam. Possibly the regulations will mandate a rethink as it might not satisfy the pedestrian collision requirements.

...I think they’re pretty set on sticking around for some considerable time to come yet..judging by the amount of commitment they’ve just put into TVRPL..let alone the amount of cash that’s gone into TVRML..

“just sayin” driving

Here's another of the 3D-model suppliers with a 360degree view. All seen before, but gives a bit of a 3d impression of the front which takes away the blandness of the fish-eye shots.

https://hum3d.com/360-view/?id=197768

(Link is to the 360-shot, there are static shots as well).

black bit below the light, colour coded body colour, (ie still open for airflow, but body coloured)

I prefer that, only a small detail, but I think it helps.

Also, just looking again at the front end, and the maser above, the Griff will probably look a little different with the number plate on, perhaps it will take the attention away from big open mouth?
