Hmmm.... if they are still only in the design stage of the factory process, how likely is it they will actually produce a car by 2019? That's only 6 months away.
Not expecting mine before 2020..
I certainly can't see much (if anything) happening before mid 2019..still a huge amount of work to be done..

I do wish Les and team would come clean and tell us when the cars will actually arrive. I cannot believe that even the early cars will be produced in 2019 and frankly I'm not confident that 202 will see much in the way of volume. I would ahve to look back but I'm pretty sure that the original indicated date was 2017!

I've now bought something else, but left my deposit for the time being. But my enthusiasm is waning rapidly.

Could really use an email update from Les and the team. There’s been nothing for months aside from the le mans news. It costs nothing, really they need to be trying harder on the customer service. Send us a bloody key ring, anything just give us something to talk about.. tell us about the colour options, that’ll keep us going for months. How about some actual driving footage so we can tell all our mates how cool it is. Something!

It all takes way to long, of course they are trying to get it right and its a big organisation to make all right with all rules and laws and preparation and good working people etc etc.

But I thought the first cars would be there in 2018 and now maybe end 2019 or 2020 its a long wait, so long that I even forgot when all started, so planning and first talks about such, was that 1015 or so?

A limited edition key ring would go a long way at the moment.... and would give at least five pages here.
A photo of the engine bay would do ten and something like gearbox ratios would do us to the end of the year

I own/run a marketing agency which we've built from 2 people to 120 over 10 years. I'd do the bloody job for free!

Mind you they need a lot more than a free key ring... proper comms plan etc

If you're a deposit-holder I'd definitely send Les an email offering your Co's services.
I spoke with their chap "Keith" at the London Excel event..the're aware that their web-site isn't "the best it can be" atm...

It does seem (from an 'outsider' / non-buyer's perspective), that although they're launching as a more modern brand and car, with the iStream process etc.. That their PR and media side of things is still quite old school, and I'm not really sure that's the best approach nowadays..

I know they have the deposits and the proper TVR fans like you guys on here are on top of things and will (fingers crossed) getting your cars, but I think they'd benefit from taking a more 21st century approach to their marketing and really getting the brand out there - not so much the brand as in the TVR name, I'm sure any petrolhead worth their salt knows of TVR, but the new car, the new process, the new brand should be everyone's lips, I mean..

I think that the current younger generation of car enthusiasts are going to be their future customers, or at least they should hope that they will be, if they intend to build and grow a lasting business. It's great that all the long term die-hards on here have deposits down but I don't think a revived brand can rely solely on a pre-existing fanbase to survive and thrive.

Not saying TVR needs the bandwagon of vlogger-types to be YouTubing about their incoming Griffith and what colour they're going to inevitably wrap it in..... Although as much as I hate to admit it, that Shmee chap might actually do some decent promotion of the car if/when he gets his and it turns out to be a cracker!

And lot of young people (well below 35 ;-)), when they discover my Chimaera (in France it's uncommon), often they say that they know TVR through Gran Turismo.
So, if they were able to introduce the new Griffith in such a video game, it could also be a good way to make it almost real.

The upcoming Forza Horizon 4 is a huge opportunity for this!

It's a huge racing franchise, this time it's set in the UK so there should extra focus on British cars and marques, the cover / star car is the new McLaren Senna.

Previous Horizons have only had the Sagaris - if they could feature the new Griffith I think it would be great marketing!

Dear Les,
Really disappointed not to have had a response to my earlier e-mail. Could I please have an update on progress and an idea when I will be able to firm up my order?
Best Regards
Dave Gani ( LE Deposit holder )Dear Mr Gani,

Your enquiry has been forwarded to Les Edgar who is currently away from the office in Wales.

Please be assured that he will respond as soon as he returns and we thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards

Dear Les,
Over a week since my last e-mail and still no news! Should I be worried?
Any update would be most welcome.
Best Regards
Dave Gani

Still no response from the customer service team, makes me wonder what the after sales service will be like, that is if I receive my car before I cock my toes!

TVR have a great chance here for a TVR themed DLC 'pack' with all the cars and noises in it.... Good advertising for the brand and like you say, throws it at the young'uns.

Dear Mr Gani,

Thank you for your persistence. Les is still away from the office in Wales. He will be allowed to return once he has figured out how to retain his loyal customer base and attract new customers to the brand.

Attached is an image of a brainstorming session we had recently which resulted in his immediate departure, apologies for the poor quality, the designer of the griffith front was in charge of recording the session.

Kind regards

This just popped up on YouTube, I found it interesting that they've used a photo of a Sagaris to lure you in, rather than the new car which I assume it's based on!!
