This is all very positive news indeed!

I imagine if you are a deposit holder, this kind of update couldn't have come sooner.

What's this 'big news' coming in the next update then...

I am guessing the big news has to be about confirmed production dates and receiving the keys to a completed build facility.

Any one else want a shot??

Your deposit position: Between 401 & 450
Ooh, I get between 101 & 150. Based on the the deposit list wiki on here I'm in 23rd place, and you're in 38th...but your deposit is a year and a half later. Someone smarter than I and with more interest in things like this can no doubt try to extrapolate how the deposits came in. I'm guessing 100+ in the first couple of weeks, then 300 or so more in the 18 months through to Jan 2017, and the balance since then? I wonder would the expectation have been that the 500 deposits would have been taken up in the first 12 months, and this not happening has delayed funding or something?

Nothing else to do right now other than speculate on things...

My deposit was put down in late July 2015 and my place is in the 151-200 slot

For those of us with long memories, that was the plan of the Brian Angliss AC revival, wasn't it?

From TVR deposit holders group the first 50 deposits were taken by about 6pm on the first day then up to 100 by second day. Up to 200 by the end of July 2015. Then up to 300 by May 2016. I read somewhere that they were at just over 400 at the reveal at Goodwood September 2017. They then took enough deposits over Goodwood weekend to take numbers to the magic 500.

Make sense, I made my deposit during early summer 2017 and my rank is between 351 & 400.

Ha Ha - my deposit was in 2017 but not sure of the date (it was when a magazine said they were nearly sold out because I wanted a car that had all the production niggles and issues ironed out.

I would prefer 500 of 500 if anybody wants to do a swap with me when we know exact build numbers!

The latest images/video do look good - I just hope nothing has been enhanced.

If the GT3rs comparison is true - this is exactly what I am looking for and although that corner is taken too wide for a speed comparision, the griff does look good smile

In the realm of wild guessing you would roughly say that there are three big areas that key news/changes would focus around. Production, non U.K. sales, UK sales.

I can’t imagine there being anything that ‘key’ about the production. They’ve already taken the Village Dollar and with it comes all the bureaucratic inefficiency and incompetence of minor league provincial tools more focussed on being photographed planting trees. The factory will be late and they will become exhausted dealing with inbred local tools who think the fancy pants businessmen from Surrey are the thickos in the equation.

When forced to randomly speculate I would say that the two big areas in need of change or news are how they are going to sell the cars outside of the U.K. and how in the U.K.

The first aspect requires partners but you don’t want to be dealing with a different partner for each EU town. Frankly, there is a bigger problem which is that who in their right mind would want to build any kind of business in the U.K. that is going to be reliant on EU sales volumes to be profitable? In terms of any news regarding overseas sales I would think that this would be about viable markets outside of the EU and a credible local partner to ensure its success.

Inside the U.K. you are about to roll out a premium sports car into the 21st century’s glitz, glamour, bling and delicate emotions of the British consumer.

This is a £90k toy in 21st century Britain. The question to ask is in order to sell thousands a year is it best to try and sell them through a network of strange, disjointed and out of town sheds staffed by people with no experience of selling at this level or do you find a sales and distribution partner who has key urban locations and is geared up to sell high end goods?

Ford sell small, cheap cars to nice ladies in need of a local runabout. No one walks into a Ford showroom with the plan to spend £100k. And no one with a £100k car wants to go near a Ford service centre.

My guess would be working with an entity such as Stratstone would be a very sensible deal as after the first 500 cars are built they need to start finding 50-100 people a month with the ability to borrow near £100k and a team of people trained in helping them to make that decision to borrow all that money and to look like a winner at the same time.
