Les please.
Stop listening to a few TV R'slickers - do something about the front!
So many deposit holders are going to cancel if your car isn't as great as you and Gordy say.
If you make it stunning, it won't matter if it's not as good as a 911 or a Vantage or an R8 or a GTR etc. - you will sell every single one on its looks alone.
If you BUILD it, THEY will come.

Sort the front out, put on wider wheels and lower it - trust me - oh and another thing, please allow all the people that cancelled to retake their position in the queue - don't let them pay for your mistake.

Only saying the last bit because I don't want an early one with teething problems...

Try to remember what you wrote on the flip chart all those years ago...

TVR = LOOKS and NOISE
TVR > PORSCHE
TVR > CAR - TVR = RELIGION
TVR to me.. equals light, manual, high power to weight ratio. good value..

TVR to me is ...... cool looking light body on interesting characterful engine = enhanced driving experience.

Griffith fails on at least two, possible even three when we hear about the weight.

TVR to me is fast and noisy...the rest of the package is a nice bonus. The new one ticks my boxes because its fast and noisy(apart from when its idling sadly), my Cerbera was a fair bit louder at idle(it had the factory sports exhaust on it though).

I really liked the new TVR when I saw it in person...even the front. Agree that in photos that the front does look ropey though. I wish I had the money to buy it. cool

It was mentioned.. that TVR would be very happy to sell you an even noisier sports exhaust, after you purchased the car......

(You know, regulations..... to get past)
I'll be happy with standard..

Even the Famous Names manage that little party piece on occasions.

Alright, now please name a single, non-ancient, regulatory compliant car that matches !

If this is only based on those 3 criteria, you have all models from Caterham, Ariel, Radical, Donkevoort, BAC, Wiesmann (if they managed to come back)...
But if you include the price and the usability, the list is empty smile

Yep, my point exactly. And even if you left out price and usability (and that's about the only way the mentioned cars would make it into ANY list), none of these score in the "interesting characterful engine" department either.

The new Griff is quite unique when you take the whole package into consideration.

Btw, Aston, with sales of around 2 - 2.5k cars per year ( http://carsalesbase.com/european-car-sales-data/as... ) is sporting a hefty 4.3 Billion GBP market cap following their ipo.

...which is considerably lower than their 5bn estimate, and falling already...

Is it 1200Kg if so that's very good. The lightest standard cerb I ever weighed was 1235kg, the heaviest was 1432kg. Only about ten cerbs in total but there was quite a difference, the earlier cars generally being lighter than the later 'lightweights'

If the new Griff comes in at 1200kg I will be VERY impressed.

Highly unrealistic, 1200 was a number that circulated only in the very beginning. It has moved up to 1250 subsequently ( which also requires a nice round 500hp to achieve the 400hp/ton constraint) and i think in one of the recent updates 1300 KG was mentioned. Which is still light compared to the competition weighing in at more like 1500 to 1800 KG.
