To put you out of your misery- I am an ex TVR owner ,ex deposit holder and yes in the automotive design industry. The truth is that i am more frustrated than pissed off. I genuinely feel that this is rapidly turning very sour and genuinely fear for deposit holder money. I am saddened by the fact that TVR might not be reborn but it seems obvious that the business model is flawed and there are big problems. For the record, Les is a lovely chap and i admire his goal. He is also very wealthy but this is a very big number game that is beyond his finances. My last post is what i have heard from sources close to TVR albeit accurate or not. Would you rather i kept quiet?! I sincerely hope that the next announcement is saying that they have secured the £15m needed to move forward. But the reality is that its now a 50/50 chance that it might be for the worse. You lot are good at digging- find out about the factory?- I am told that the welsh government have rescinded on their offer. Then you Einsteins out there might be able to work out the No factory = no cars ! Also to answer a previous query- The rebellion TVR racing is a totally separately funded entity as is the clothing/branding.
Wow that’s a pretty strong statement , I get your frustration but is it worth a “Defamation” order being served on you ? Dom
Thats my point- I dont believe the deposits are in an escrow account and they are only safe whilst the company has working capital ! As for a 'one man rumor mill' - Please show me something that contradicts my assumptions? I am not hear to argue, cast shadow or even ruin a business. But, I for one am genuinely concerned about the £2m of deposit holders money. I have said may bit and will leave you mushrooms to talk about the cars front! I am not sure its really worth me posting again.- 'The Emperor has no clothes on'

Together with AD I would politely advise you both to refrain from jumping to any further conclusions before knowing the facts..otherwise as Dom and Slow m rightly point out ..you could both be staring down the barrel of Solicitors letters pretty soon...

But I read the notes concerning the £2m loan from the Welsh Ministers (June 2018) which says that additional funding must be in place by the 1st October 2018 or there is a risk of the loan being called in under the terms of the loan?
The notes also state that the directors view the situation as a going concern and expect to secure additional investment. They also state they do not believe the Welsh Ministers would call in the loan until the expiry date in 2021.
So, really it all comes down to whether there is new investment secured and in place by the 1st of this month? If there is then onwards and upwards. If not, then what?

I suggest you read ALL of the accounts before you start jumping to any of your conclusions..because I for one can you tell you that you're factually incorrect.

So nothing then? Together with AD I would politely advise you both to refrain from jumping to any further conclusions before knowing the facts..otherwise as Dom and Slow m rightly point out ..you could both be staring down the barrel of Solicitors letters pretty soon...
As far as your laughable (and uninformed) comment at the end is concerned, the accounts of these companies are in the public domain. Nothing posted here is in any way libelous.

If you’re both using public accounts, perhaps you could show where they’re incorrect and squash these rumours.Together with AD I would politely advise you both to refrain from jumping to any further conclusions before knowing the facts..otherwise as Dom and Slow m rightly point out ..you could both be staring down the barrel of Solicitors letters pretty soon...
Saying “read the whole report” and saying they’re incorrect, and comments about libel, doesn’t really help.
I’ve no idea who’s right but it reads like you’re just trying to shut them up.

Before I put my deposit down..I did...and still do.
Anyone who can read will be able to understand the factually incorrect comment "U" has made...and perhaps after reading..you'll be able to understand how the project got started etc..
If you want me to explain the complexities (...pain..) of "seed-money" on the back of a fag packet then maybe it's better you remain none the wiser...but please do not jump to any more "conclusions" before understanding what these guys have gone through.

I suspect he cannot, hence continually referring people to read 'ALL' the accounts (whatever that means).Anyone who could provide the details would gladly do so if they were so confident of their content. After all, these are documents available for all to view on Companies House (albeit in draft form).

Honestly you were asked a simple question a number of times. Instead of a simple answer you are actually making the company look worse by all your flouncing around. Obviously you think you have the answer so just give it out rather than the dance of the seven veils you are currently doing. Before I put my deposit down..I did...and still do.

You could easily. Can you at least try to point out in really simple terms why they’re wrong?
You can see why saying “read all the accounts” and suggesting litigation might not adequately explain your point?

Look, I get that you are financially and emotionally invested in the new car - if I had the spare cash laying around then I probably would be too but seriously, there is absolutely no fking need whatsoever to be so bloody condescending. Are you actually as rude in real life? Before I put my deposit down..I did...and still do.

I think that I asked you a perfectly reasonable question, as have several others. If you are that confident in your ability to interpret the accounts, then please share your knowledge with those of us that aren’t quite so able. I haven’t jumped to any conclusions whatsoever regarding their finances and I’ll thank you to acknowledge that I haven’t.

Amazing how many people cant / can't be bothered to read these days...
More amazing how many people who have looked at the account cannot seemingly see the such obvious thing to which you continue to refer to, but fail to actually say what it is.To me, and others I suspect, it would seem you have got yourself into a position you are unable to answer, and as such just keep repeating the same non-sensical statement, and no doubt will ultimately go quiet on the whole thing once people get bored of asking you for clarity.
As stated before. If I, and others, have overlooked something, then simply refer me to the relevant page/section of the accounts which are available to view, and no doubt those parties will review.
