New TVR still under wraps!

Paying back ringfenced deposits shouldn't have an effect on the development of the car or the company and will show that the company is still viable. TVR know there is a demand, this money apparently isn't being used to keep the Company afloat, so why not a goodwill gesture after all the delays and appalling PR and communications from TVR.
It 's interesting that the article mentions the fact that LE has been busy with TVR and also bought a Country Club. Why would they say anything about this?
TVR admit they are looking for further funding, if it was my business that's where my money would be going, especially if I was sitting on £2.5m of other peoples money, and I need money to take the business forward, assuming I had enough faith and belief that it will work and my investment is safe.

2 deposits on LE's but 400+ in the queue but to wait 2 + years I may be dead. Deposit paid on credit card so should be OK but hankering for a Mustang (60's), an old Alfa or a Merc R107. Maybe need to move on.

When I spoke to them a couple of months ago they confirmed deposits will be returned and have been so far. These however are not secured so I'm guessing the returns are easy while they have a drip feed of one out and one in. The issue will be if there is a run on them and all of a sudden everyone wants theirs back at the same time. It could explain the lack of news as well. Its a bit like stocks, when a profits warning is issued and everyone jumps ship, the price tanks and more jump ship.
If they come out now and say they cant secure funding and the delays mean the car is at least 2 years away (which let's face it, is the reality) how many will jump ship and how quickly... even the hardcore here are talking about it so it doesn't bode well.

Sorry if I’ve missed the jist of the last page but there seems to be a bit of ‘posters worrying about deposits who don’t have deposit’ going on.
As far as I can see, those with deposits are perfectly aware of the risks and are happy with tvr having their deposit. The LAST thing they want is TVR increasing the risk of going under by returning the deposit in ‘good faith’ or whatever.
The people who have put down a deposit really want a car NOT their deposit back. They know the score.
They’ve mainly said they want to be part of it and don’t mind losing their deposit.

Back in about 1974 my local garage had a white mustang convertible , similar to this one and couldn’t give it away. He even offered to swap it for my 1970 Sunbeam Rapier fast back, (which was a bit of a pile of poo).
How times change.

I wonder why then he's not investing more of his own money in TVR rather than looking for outside finance.....hmmm...On the deposit side its more important for TVR to be able to say to investors 'look we've got 500 deposits' as it means sales figures in advance - the £2.5m is a bit irrelevant its the commitment to buy that they're making use of. So either way: ITS IMPORTANT TO KEEP DEPOSIT HOLDERS ON BOARD
...Which just isn't happening at the moment

Great pictures, it really does look great from the back and side. But the more I see of it the more the front isn't quite right.
I'm inclined to think its just not crazy and outlandish enough. Like a Sagaris or Cerbera......but I have to remind myself that the Griffith and Chimera were perhaps not considered very crazy and outlandish either. I think I'm also right in saying those cars sold more than any other TVR and saved TVR at one point.

As the car is neither registered nor taxed it usually travels by trailer so would be surprised if it was driven across La France.
