yeah have to admit it's an improvement but you look far too young to be able to drive a TVR, your insurance must be a bugger

Have to say that the interior looks a lot more finished than the Tuscan, albeit a bit dull - for a second I thought that was a passenger airbag cover - surely not

Oh by the way, is this really petty but... doesn't that new TVR badge look really cheap. What was wrong with cast metal letters.

I wondered about the badge - wind tunnel victim, maybe? The thing on the dash will be a - wait for it - GLOVEBOX!! In a TVR? There will be a little "cubby" in front of the gear lever for all those odds and ends, as well - ladies knickers, nose hair trimmers etc. I'd rather have a proper folding soft top- that would make all TVR rag tops much more practical vis-a-vis the competition in their market.

Wake up call - I am assuming from your reply that you are por1 also - what's wrong with using the same tag? If not, fine. How would you know whether your taste is better than mine - it's only your opinion. You are taking other people's opinoins on cars, and translating them as your own. Try driving a TVR before you criticise - I've driven Boxsters, 911's etc, and they're fast, sleek, efficient, and leave me completely cold - I don't thrash cars like motoring journalists do, so I don't "explore the performance envelope" (as you w***ers in porsches would undoubetdly say in your little wine bar cliques.) I drive for enjoyment and pleasure, and don't go sideways round every corner I can find, so I don't find much to commend one fast car over another, because they all perform well, stick to the road etc.So, it all comes down to individual preference, and I get all the pleasure of driving I want from my TVR, and it is MY taste to want to drive them, and my liking for the Tamora (see, I even now how to spell it) comes from seeing it, liking it, and my love of individuality in cars above efficiency and desire to be part of the common herd. My taste/judgement/preference is MINE, not derivative. So, as Driller says F**K OFF and let TVR lovers enjoy their cars without tosspots like you talking crap. And, I leave the lap dancers to you, me and my TVR pull plenty of girls - unlike you, I don't need to pay someone to sit on my lap, or indeed to sit in my car. Read one of my previous postings, and try to explain to me why 2 Boxster owners were buying TVR's? Presumably you would see their judgement as sound as mine? Or do you have some other explanation? A**hole. Edited by nubbin on Monday 21st May 10:20

Well said guys, surely 80% of the pleasure in driving a TVR is not as has already been said driving sideways through every corner, or, what was that about licking envelopes in Porches? But the noise, oh that fantastic noise, even at a standstill, let them sit in their quiet little sports cars and let us get on with ours. Mind you their forums must be dull if they have to come and spy on ours!

wake up call, IMO the tamora is a dodgy looking motor but porsche have also made some dogs, remember the Z1, and no one here comes to your forum to tell you.....so there, nana na nana

Stop replying to the troll guys. If indeed it is por1 then he couldn't reply to my posting, it wasn't insulting and was based on fact. Seeing as he can't look objectively at the discussion and reply as such then just ignore him.

Z1. Wasn't that a BMW? Yes it was, and it had drop down doors. Fantastic. Believe me, even TVR designers lust after them. And Porsches.

Dear all, I liked the Tamora at the NEC. So I ordered one I liked the Tamora 2 - very much improved. I like the fact that not so many people like it. It makes me more of an individual who is prepared to put my money where my mouth is (rather thanthe other way round for POR1) and to enjoy my life in the way I want to. If fewer people like it, it will become more of a cherished car and will have a cult following. - Remember wedges are not to everyones tastes but they are without a shadow of a doubt loved by all who own them. Thank you. Ps see you at indianapolis on Friday 15th June POR1 showing off. I assume you are going to go and see some motorsport seeing as you are so into it?

Good on yer SMiles!! At least I don't feel so alone in liking it, defending it, and also ordering one at the NEC. Given the positive test in EVO, I think we're in for some serious fun when we get our cars... thought of any colours/trim yet?

I think it is going to have to be in a darker colour to make the back look a little more tidy. Although TMS assure me that there is still work to be done and further comments have been passed back to Peters guys and gals regarding stuff like the shonky rear number plate mounting (my words). Me and mrs SMiles are arguing whether we would prefer a really dark metallic blue, or a flat BRG. A bit more classy maybe. and you nubbin? Oh yeah who is yours ordered through? Sparks - I'd get a doctor to look at your back end, if I were you!! SMiles - I'm getting mine through Hillfoot in Sheffield. I've been thinking about colours, and thought exactly the opposite to you! - I felt a small car might look better in a lighter colour - I then saw a Tuscan at Hillfoot, in a light metallic blue, called Grigio alloy - turns out it's a Ferrari blue, so that'll do for me!! I'm having Oxford blue carpets and pale grey hide - actually I'm going with the stuff on the show car - it's a vinyl, designed to look like buffalo hide, and I think the grainy look is much better than smooth leather. I spoke at length to TVR about body-colouring the rear diffuser, and keeping the exhaust as bright metal - both of these features look good on the Tuscan R, but the factory wouldn't play ball. Still, Can't wait!! Edited by nubbin on Thursday 24th May 10:28
