High Targetprice (225 till 230 000) has to do with the locale Dutch taxes.

Same price as Aston Vantage and Mc Laren wow!

Yeah, i know. Was just totally taken aback. But what i don't get is, if everything is times 2 (roughly), shouldn't the Aston then be around 300-400k ?

Interesting article in this weeks Autocar. Lawrence Tomlinson due to release a new 200mph plus supercar, with a 6-0L V8 NA engine, all machined entirely from aluminium billet. Kerb weight expected to be just over 1200kg.
Expected to debut in March at Geneva motorshow. No mention on price.
What a shame he didn’t get hold of TVR back in 2004.

LHDs will be built at the end of the queue (IF anything ever gets built). But you can mark your deposit for LHD, no problem. I did.

yes

LT was the perfect fit for TVR. If PW had sold to him it would have been a different story and a real TVR car company would still exist today.

I've obviously been in exile too long as I don't understand all this Dutch pricing stuff. I thought EU law was standardized? Back in 2000 I bought a new Volvo V70 T5 wagon in Holland because it was cheaper by 7k than buying it in the UK. Dutch dealers were making a fortune supplying new RHD cars to British punters. I ordered it through the dealer to my spec and when it arrived I flew to Amsterdam, picked up the car and got the ferry back with it.

It was commonplace when the £ was the equivalent of over €1.6 to the pound. I remember getting almost €1.6 to the £ in 2003.

Looking here, it was over €1.65 to the £ in late Jan 2000. No physical Euros existed then (2002 for that) but it was traded:

“The new supercar is likely to be ready for its first customers late this year.”

“The engine is designed and assembled entirely by Ginetta’s own technicians, right down to a unique set of own-design throttle bodies. Although very light and compact, the V8 is believed to produce more than 600bhp, enough to propel the car well beyond 200mph and to produce acceleration described as “blistering”.

The new Ginetta will have a front/mid-engined layout, with its dry-sumped, north-south engine sited low and so far back that it is almost centrally mounted, for ideal weight distribution. The race-bred, double-wishbone, pushrod-activated suspension has also been created in-house.”

Customer cars this year... sneaky. I’m suprised they havent said the first deliveries are “LE” models. hehe

Bespoke engine and pushrod suspension. Impressive.

Has anything been made clear as to the suspension layout on the Griffith. Will it be pushrod? On the exploded cutaway diagram it doesn’t look like it

Indeed.
With Lawrence's TVR racing experience and the later purchase of Ginetta our beloved TVR would surely have continued and survived even if not at Bristol Avenue.
It's a shame that the G60 (Ginetta F400 / Farbio GTS / FarboudGTs) didn't make it, hopefully this new one will.

Good luck to Ginetta with the new one but they have a record of making quite expensive, not very nice looking cars. I hope to be proved wrong.

'bespoke' engine.. vs something that the base TVR engine is built in a volume of 750,000 a year.. no thanks to the bespoke one..

Whilst I'm waiting, I bought this.. another non 'bespoke' engine, that feels bombproof and very, very strong.. (LS3)

Very cool. At least you physically have a TVR with American v8 hehe

I bet you can’t wait till the spring.
