Hi
Just bought a Chim but had an old MG for 21 years, I cover the garage floor with old conveyor belting which stops the cold coming up and causing condensation on the under side of the car. Hope that helps.

big tray or bucket of cat litter, fullers earth, on the floor in the garage and a couple of tupperware tubs full on the floor in the car, just change it once a month or so never had any dampnees or mould in the car,
as long as the cat dont get in and s**t in your caryikes.(yes really).

I keep the windows shut tight now as I recently heard of rats getting into a friends car through the two inch gap in his window and rewired/lightened it for him.

So, if you get the Catsan "Clumping Litter" (which we have for the cat) does it come out of the tray in one big brick after a month?

I use a dehumidifier, along with a painted floor and carpet. Condensation is much reduced, which benefits all the other stuff stored in there, too.

Line the concrete floor with roofing felt, put carpet over the top of it and you will not get any rising damp problems. I also got a de-humidifier and the garage is bone dry now. It used to be wringing wet some days, everythiong would be covered in moisture.
