Full service costs?

£800 is expensive even for a dealer, assuming nothing is required outside of servicing.

From the bills I saw, most times something else needed done as well as the service. For a car like that though, well worth it!!!!!

Why not ring the factory? Was £550 I think, when I had the 36k done last May. It's always nice to visit up there. I'm not sure of the curtesy car situation though.

at £140 they cant possibly have put fully synthetic oil in , perhaps you should beware of using full throttle !

TOP TIP... take your own mobil 1 if you can, should be able to buy 2 can (8lts) for less than £60, problem is with most dealers is they have it 'on tap' bought in bulk, but the price they pay per ltr is more than what you pay when you 'buy it buy the can' retail, stupid but true

Another tip dont use mobile one for the RV8,if castrol magnetec is good enough for David Batty its good enough for me

Why is there such variation in price from TVR dealer to dealer??

Surely a service is a service, wherever you take it.

Besides, last year I had 6X Mobil (£58 +VAT), this year it was 7 x Mobil one(£71 +VAT)

Has my engine increased in oil capacity by one litre in a year??

New spark plugs, even though my last service was 2000 miles ago, when it then had new plugs.

My Supra ones IIRC, are replace every 60k

My whole bill for the Service and Gaskets came to £1094, and that was with a 10% discount on Labour.

My last service was at the factory cost £392 supplied my own oil though , (castrol 10/60)
