Chassis strengthening for Chim/Griff
Discussion
My small offering to this thread is to add two things I have had done to my car.
The first was to add a roll hoop behind the seats. Having had a young friend hurt when she flipped her MG Midget the week after she bought it, I decided that I at least wanted to do something.

The hoop is high enough to be above my head (I am 6 ft), and just fits under the rear section of the roof. It bolts onto the chassis. It was made back in 2014 by Roll Centre Racing near Huntingon, Martin Short's company. The FIA GT race cars in the workshop were a joy to behold. We can debate all day whether it is sufficient, but short of going full race cage, I do believe it is a decent compromise, being far enough back not to risk hitting it with my head in accident, especially as I have replaced the Chimaera seats with Tuscan seats, which are high enough to stop my head going back over the headrest.
The second thing was done by Mat Smith, when he had the body off for refurb. He welded in metal strips for the rear floor bolts for the seat, and I drilled down through the outrigger corner braces for the front fixing holes, so my seats are fully metal anchored.
