Totally agree it's the way forward, but with the amateur hour website and the apparent lack of thought that's evident there and with inattention to detail even evident in the pricelist I just wonder if any real thought has gone into just how they intend to deliver anything?
Good question. I'd say Dom and his team normally deliver on what they set out to do, and Nikolai is just happy to do provide the 'shell' in the shape of the website, price lists et al - as long as it doesn't cost him any money.

Personally, I'd have integrated the lot into Power's website of which the look and feel is loads more credible. smile

I don't want shooting down in flames here; my limited contact with TVR Power has always been very positive, and I don't want to suggest otherwise.

But that site needs some serious work too IMO.

For a venture (apparent) of this nature, and to make the whole thing truly professional, it all needs a good deal more thought and design.
There are far too many gaps in the navigation and search logic.

But yes, the current official TVR site is a lot worse.
This is 2011, not 1995. It just must get better than that to have any credibility at all.

Fair point. Within the realm of aftermarket TVR businesses I'd say the Power website is among the best for slickness and professionalism (mine is absolute rubbish in comparison but then I simply don't have the turnover to have a pro have a go at it so it's my own hacking about with Joomla you're looking at); for an OEM selling £100K dream machines it would sorely need a revamp or two.

But in comparison to TVR Motors' - well it'd be a start wouldn't it?

I would say that TVR Power is one of the better without hesitaton.
Partly because they are offering more than most, and each area of the site might seem to require a different 'look and feel' or have been developed at a different time to other sections, that a coherent look and feel isn't always achieved either.

Developing a professional looking and functioning web site is not an easy or cheap task as you point out. TVR Power's site has grown somewhat homogeneously over time and is what it is.
For what they are doing, (and probably relative to turnover and profits), it is sufficient.

I suspect though, that the greatest gain in credibility would initially come from a firm knowledge that it (TVR's revival) is in fact being supported by TVR Power, and the associated confidence that people have in them (TVR Power) rather than the current owner of TVR given past history.
