Don't know if many of you know the German TVR scene. Last night on Motorvision Classic, there was a report on the Bornemann Special conversion for the TVR 3000M Turbo.
Apparently this guy from Braunschwieg (He has a good reputation for repairs/services etc.) converts your 3000M into a 360BHP Cossie Powered Monster for a little over €67000...

Mit seinem Konzept "moderne Technik verhüllt in klassischem Design" ist er aber nicht alleine. Der TVR 3000 M Bj. 1972 stammt ursprünglich aus einer kleinen Sportwagenschmiede im englischen Blackpool. Die Firma Bornemann aus Braunschweig verlieh dem kleinen Sportler die Mega-Power: In unter fünf Sekunden von Null auf 100 km/h und 250 km/h Spitze.
Der TVR leistet bei 1,4 Bar Ladedruck und nur 1000 kg Fahrgewicht satte 360 PS. Um die Leistung auch vernünftig auf die Strasse zu bringen, sind weitere Umbaumaßnahmen natürlich unabdingbar. Um den Edel-TVR aufzubauen bedarf es intensiver Arbeit. Deshalb gibt es den Kraftprotz erst ab 67.000 Euro. Kein billiges Vergnügen also, aber ein echter Traumwagen. Die Firma Bornemann fertigt den Power-TVR ausschließlich auf Bestellung. Das lässt reichlich Spielraum für eigene Wünsche und Träume

The TVR has 1.4bar Turbo Pressue and only 1000kgs laden weight with 360PS. To get the power suitably on the road, other modifications are of course needed. (they strengthen the chassis and use KW shocks/springs and AP brakes). To finish the nobel-TVR requires a lot of intensive re-work. This is why it takes 67,000 EURO (40k)to start the work. No cheap fun, but a dream-car. The company only finishes these to order, so it leaves enough room for wishes and dreams.

Was featured here www.pistonheads.com/tvr/m/bornemann.asp in August 2001. I wonder how many conversions have been done at that price?
