re the waving and flashing bit... im sure its somthing to do with the softies that only bring the motor out in the summer. I've noticed that during the winter almnost everyone flashes and waves, but in summer you get many a blank stare as you drive past... Graham

It seems to me that you have 500 ,sot and graham just get on with it and the rest will join in GOOD LUCK and remember there is more to it than the first night and the same applies to a regional meeting.

I often wave at non-Tivvers. Only last weekend I was overtaking a car and being approached by some old sop in a Fiesta flashing his lights at me. I don't think I knew him, but I gave him a friendly wave anyway...
