Here you go, we all had to start from knowing nothing https://www.visordown.com/forum/workshop/how-to-us...
Similar problem here-too many cars that need to be indoors. Going down the route of a 4 bay oak framed (12.5m x 6.8m, hopefully, if I get planning approval) with reclaimed clay roof tiles with lifts internally in 3 bays (2 x 4 post, 1 x 2 post) but costing almost 4x your spend. Was looking at brick but costs are so high and we've got loads of other work on the house needs doing.

Excellent thread! Just about to look to build a 2 bay timber framed cart lodge. So all info posted on here is much appreciated.
I already have a concrete base in place and permission to build a 6m by 5m cart lodge but was just gearing up to start getting quotes. Is 12k about ballpark for a 2 bay?

Mines 5.65 x 5.65 outside (5.45 x 5.45m inside = 30 sq. m. floor area
Eaves height 2.4m.(intend to panel it out so full height boards and contemplating a lift so roof structure has a pair of central ridge members and rafters from them to the eaves rather than bought in trusses.
Costs
Excavation by me so free
150mm base, power floated £2500
Garage £6600
Panelling TBC
Electrics £650
Kerbing and retaining (sleepers) £250
Gravel to drive TBC

Nearly there. Doors, guttering, windows and electrics to do.
Matt - Thanks. Long time no see.
Flipflop - How many cars do you have ? We met briefly at the Silverstone classic a couple of years ago.
Planning lady coming round shortly so hopefully we don't get knocked back to 3 or even 2 bays, otherwise not really gaining much benefit.
