Anyone had any abuse from jealous drivers, general public whilst cruising? I've got to tell you a funny story. I was at some lights when this guy stoned out of his head asked for light. When I told him I didn't smoke - he chucked a handful of grass into the car. At first I thought about flattening him but I laughed it off when I saw him giving other drivers grief as well as trying to pick a fight with a set of traffic lights!!

On top of that, I've had other sneering remarks from other drivers and other stupid people. Anyone else had simmilar experiences? I know its the car and not me!!

I'm averaging one bit of envy/abuse every week. The best one ever was in my series 1 350. It was Crystal Green, the roof was down. there I was at the lights waiting to go left and this loveley blonde piece in a merc rolls up and asks me for a light(as if she didn't have a cigar lighter in her car eh?). Just like the guy who threw a handful of grass into the car - I told her I never smoked. Not content she wanted to know what the car was which I though was cool.... Had I not been married who knows what might have happened. I used to think that guys who thought their cars as babe magnets were a little sad.

The big question is though guys...are Tivs babe magnets or what?

Had another experience today. A passenger in a souped up Golf got very animated in Potters Bar. Shouting something I didn't catch. It didn't sound too pleasant as I was passing - I smiled through it all because the car felt good, sounded very nice, looked the business in perfect Tiv conditions which is what its all about really eh?

Just out of interest, where (north/south/east/west) in the country do the people live that are getting all this abuse, against the people who are'nt? be interesting to see if there is any common denominator.

Living in London is where I have picked up all reactions. Went for a blast through Newmarket, sound echoing off the walls etc got plenty of good vibes passing through and later on the same trip in Cambridge.]

Certainly happens down south, coming back from the 'pie and drive' on Saturday down the M3 some in a 406 decides to pull out from lane 2 in front of me then proceeded to put the anchors on at ***mph for a brake test perhaps he was being a good Samaritan in keeping my speed down, or just another jealous t*sser.
Also not forgetting my thread about a daft fcukwit bint on the A32 a couple of weeks ago, never did find out why, could have been jealousy.
Nothing has ever happen like it to me before in over 20 years of driving (pre TVR), my only regret is that in both cases I wish I had a Bull barred tank or HGV steering wheel in my hand at the time .
