Yes they stopped trading a couple of weeks back.
One of the directors is now running a new business from the same site. Still cars but a slightly different line of work.
Steve
Interesting, as Austec have done a 'phoenix' several times before, is your understanding that the new business is not history being repeated with Paul Austin running it?One of the directors is now running a new business from the same site. Still cars but a slightly different line of work.

I noted when I was there that the Austec Racing signage was still in place.
I've had a couple of different people contact me over this.
One said he had seen a posting on Facebook by Fubar saying he had had his Cerbera recovered from Austec and taken to APM over a engine rebuild issue, the post apparently goes along the lines that Paul Austin was not answering/responding to calls and the new owner? didn't want to know.I understand that Andy at APM has quite a list of faults associated with the rebuild.
The second person had been told by an employee who was trying to sort the mess out that the new companies business is to lease/rent out cars to people with bad credit/bankrupt status. I have discovered there are two additional companies registered at the Austec address; Weekly Wheels and Quick Car.com Ltd
I did see two Cerbera's in the yard on my visit so I hope the owners of those cars know what a has happened as I know Austec used to have a habit of 'sitting' on cars for several months.

I think you're somewhat dramatising this into more than it is.
Personally, I feel that "detective work" is a little premature, when all that was needed was to ask? There are no guard dogs, armed security, 'cloak and dagger' cold war antics going on. And to suddenly try to vacate when approached, left everyone feeling uneasy.
Anyway, I don't want to start an argument and was simply pointing out that there is an appropriate way to go about these things. I am quite happy to answer anything I can.
Andy
I take it from the reception window upstairs that you did not see me try to drive in three times and have to reverse back out three times onto the road, first for the Range Rover, then another car and then the Ferrari! I had taken the photo I wanted of the Cerbera's and was reversing out when you approached me and not because you approached me.Personally, I feel that "detective work" is a little premature, when all that was needed was to ask? Feel free to give my car reg to the Police, and my name is on my profile, and they will be able to check that I am a listed creditor with the Official Receiver hence my interest in this matter.
Thankyou for coming on this forum and confirming that Austec have officially ceased trading in its current form. You may not be aware that Austec since 2006 have done a 'phoenix' three times, obviously something Mr Austin forgot to mention, leaving individuals and companies out of pocket in excess of £1 million pounds.
As you are representing yourself in an official capacity can you explain, if Austec is closed, why there are still two active companies; Austec Fleet Services Ltd and RemappingUK.com listed at the same address and will these be closed down? And you wonder why there is speculation
A good start would be to remove the Austec Racing signage.

P.S If you see Paul, ask him how his pony tail is
Just got in from work, grabbed a cuppa and looking forward to some positive answers to mine and Number 7 questions.....hmm,didn't think they were that hard to answer
Andy, of course you are under no obligation to supply the information but you did offer and your silence does not inspire confidence does it?

The thread that just keeps giving
I see the Austec signage has now gone but the various Austec company names are still showing as active
If you have had parts replaced on your car it may be worth checking to make sure the item is new as I have been contacted by more than one person who have discovered that secondhand parts had been fitted and another person who has a lot of car parts missing, could you be driving around with part of this blokes car
