Checked my oil level after a blast at the weekend and the level has dropped off the dipstick .

I can't remember when I last checked it so I'm not sure it's leaked or burnt up - may have been low after the last service. Now I need some top-up, the question is where from? Last service I'm sure he used 15w/40 but this may be difficult to get - any ideas? I think Halfrauds only sell 0w/40 which I do NOT want. So is there anywhere I can order on line?
Thanks.

Craigy - how much is the 15w/40 at Halfwits? Is it Mobil Motorsport?

The main reason for 15w/40 is that the previous owner used it, and the guy who serviced it last. 0w/40 may be a modern latest-tech oil, but the Rover engine certainly isn't. Also, IMHO it's like bat's p1ss.

Anybody know a supplier on line via the interweb thingey so I don't have to go shopping? Thanks.

Thanks a lot guys - including SH (I'd heard that one before). Will be getting some 15w/40 Oil-de-Francois at the weekend.

John, order it from where?

The Frog stuff I was getting now turns out to be 5w/50 Mobil Motorsport. Anybody know if this will mix OK with what I (believe) I have in there? Will I end up with 10w/45?

UPDATE on Mobil 1
I've been surfing the Exxon-Mobil web site which states the following available grades:

0W/30 - Enhanced Fuel Economy Formula
0W/40 - European Car Formula
5W/30 - New Car Formula
10W/30 - High-Mileage Formula
15W/50 - Performance Driving Formula

They (say) Mobil does not carry the following specific viscosities:
15W/40 (try 0W/40 or 15W/50)
5W/40 (try 0W/40)
5W/50 (try 0W/40 or 15W/50).
This is surprising because the French stuff is 5W/50. Maybe I'll e-mail them later.
