Maybe not the right area to post this in but here goes.

Can anybody give some driving tips for track daying the Chimp, particularly round the twisty bits, I'm going to Bruntingthorpe so any local knowledge will help.

Cheers

Paul

Thanks all. I take heed!

Hi Mark. I have finally got the car running well, the last thing I checked was the exhaust and found the manifold to Y section brackets quite loose, I think this was affecting the HEGO sensor readings and hence the amount of fuel injected. I've also stopped holding the throttle open slightly on the overrun(except on TVR meets!) , no more popping and banging from me, but the car seems better for it.

Well I've done it and the car survived, I now have aching facial muscles and a permanent grin!

The weather was perfect and the car behaved itself all day, boy does it handle like nothing else. We had 15 cars/bikes and the top end of bruntingthorpe to ourselves all day with a few spins, 1 midday tyre replacement on a clio sport a trip for fuel and no casualties, excellent!
