Spitfire 1500 conversion to v8

I own a spitfire 1500 and would like a touch more poke in the engine department. I want to put in a rover 3.5v8 to liven things up. I've seen this done but there is very little info on the web about it and i would like some sort of advice on the matter, so if anyone knows where to look it would be great if you could pass it on.
