New car orderedbiggrin for delivery in a couple of monthsfrown
Had the hard sell on Supagard treatment (£250 best priceeek)
Like/love cleaning our cars anyway (never had brand new though) am thinking this treatment would be a waste of money. Seen good, bad and indifferent opinions on it, but if I'm cleaning regulary it's just going to get wiped off very quickly.
No doubt the dealer will tell me the car will disolve in the first light shower without it.
Reckon I should save my money and spend it on quality wax/polishes etc?

Massive money spinner for the dealer. Cost price to them is something like £20, plus an hours work for the minimum wage car wash boy to apply it.

I got some for free and put it on my car. Smells like wax, goes on like wax, and can't say I noticed any difference long term over any other cheep car wax I've used.

Got plenty of Turtle Wax Ice, Autoglym Super Resin, Autoglym High Definition and no doubt a few more polish/waxes lying about. Just use these I reckon!

OH bought a new car last year got the hard sell on the supaguard rubbish. Bought some Swisswax instead and keep it waxed, but then I enjoy cleaning.

Really depends on how and who applies it. Very rare it is done correctly. Then there is the follow up treatment and only using the recommended Supagard products to uphold the warranty (which has so many get out clauses it's unreal).....

If you like cleaning it yoruslef then do without the option.

I would, however, recommend the Supaguard interior treatment if you have children. It does help prevent staining etc.....IMHO..

You could by an Autoglym Lifeshine kit (same thing, £250 from a dealer) for £10 on ebay. Even if you paid someone £50 to apply it for you - and it is easy to do yourself - you would be quids in whistle

Thanks for replies
Reckon that's a no to Supagard from dealer then!
Keep the money for more cleaning at home
Is it worth getting the interior treatment only off e-bay (Supagard or similar) to protect seats/interior, as suggested above?
