Old white vinyl headlining. Was going to try washing up liquid and a soft brush.

Anything better than that?

Washing up liquid can be a bit too bubbly. A mild liquid laundry detergent in warm water works very well. Use a soft brush to agitate it, and a microfibre cloth to lift off the dirt after.

Alternatively, products such as Autoglym Interior Shampoo work well.

I use 303 Fabric & Vinyl cleaner which is very good. I use a soft brush to agitate it. If all else fails you can re colour it.

I've used autoglym interior shampoo with an old toothbrush on the headlining in mine.

As it's vinyl not West of England cloth you should be ok using anything. Start with the least aggressive and work up.
