I have no experience whatsoever of paintwork repairs. I've done plenty of basic servicing jobs myself and have rubbed down repainted a Unimog chassis before but this is a bit different.

I've bought a 1999 LT35. Mechanically it's great but there are qute a few rust spots on the doors.

What's the best way to fix this? Not looking for a professional finish but just something that will look a bit more tidy. Can I use POR or something then rub down and respray (with a can?)

Cheers FT. I've replaced the light cluster (which was previously held on by rope and obscuring the nunber plate), cleaned up the interior, done an engine service and the doors are next.
