Hi Guys
Some of you will recall that I recently had terrible orange peel issues when spraying 2k solid white.

Well I sanded back and pretty much started again.

I heated the garage and the paint this time and with the weather being better it all helped.

I will update the orange peel thread with pictures when I have wet sanded and polished.

Ok, this time I have quite a few runs.

My plan is to put all the panels back on the car in a few days and then sand the runs out. I will then use 1200 grit on the rest of the panel in question before painting over the run area and trying to blend into the surrounding area.

Is this the way to do it?

I am not too concerned about overspray as everything will be colour sanded and machine polished when all the runs and peel have been removed.

Cheers

if its a solid colour, you should be able to carefully block out the runs first then 1200, 1500, 2000 grit the car before polishing... as your not using an oven make sure you allow plenty of time for the paint to dry in the run as well.
Thanks mate
To be honest, some of the runs are bad and occurred in the first of the 3 coats.

This is why I think I will have to block the run out completely and paint that area again and surrounding panel.

I just hope it all blends together well.

Cheers
