Which red paint? Ideas please.
Discussion
I've got a car that needs some bodywork, and I want to get it resprayed in red. Solid red (not candy/metallic/pearl/etc). I like Rosso Corsa, and it would be right for the car, but after Googling for images, it seems there must be several versions. Did it change over the years?
Basically, I'm after something that is what I would call a 'blood red' - deep and scarlet, and definitely not an orangey red. Never had a car sprayed before, so I haven't got a clue how to proceed and spec it for the bodyshop. There are a few RAL colours that look fairly close (see 3000/3001/3003 in this not very good but gives an idea of what I mean http://www.southernpowdercoating.com/images/color_... image)
Any guidance? Anyone know a modern 'blood red' by any current car manufacturer?
I know Formula Red (Honda) and Signal Red (Mercedes), and a shade or two deeper than the latter is the direction I'm heading in.
(And it would be garaged so I'm not too worried by the notorious red paint fade.)

Thanks chaps. I have now found a couple of useful references (although the computer screen is notoriously unreliable, they give an idea of how tiny amounts of blue change the colour so much):

Thanks. For some reason I didn't see those photos when I last posted. (!) It does seem that the colour has got a bit more 'orangey' (comparing the Enzo to '80s Ferraris)
In a week, I will get the car out of hibernation and start prepping for the Summer, so I'll take it to a few bodyshops and see how professional they appear. One forumite has recommended http://www.lustrecoatings.co.uk/paint.html in Norfolk and it's near Omicron who I also intend to see.
